^aww cute i like the last 2 looks alot:D, and i love the Prada lookbook on the previous page she looks amazing in that dress:heart:

I am sorry, but in those Miu Miu pics her face looks like it was...well, I wanna say bad things, but it's better to keep things civil. I don't get the hype. At all.

I've been wondering who does she reminds me of in the Miu Miu pictures and I got it - Bette Davis. Does anyone see it too? ^_^

I'm a big fan of her, but I detest the new Miu Miu pictures. She looks a lot better with her hair down.

Sorry, but she looks awful in thse pics imo. her face looks so swell

Indeed the Miu Miu pre fall pictures are weird.. I cannot say I don't like them though... but there is something disturbing... I think it puts emphasis on the bad sides of hers... My favorite look of hers was definetely in W editorial so far... her expressions were really interesting and good looking... Totally fitting her outfits/stylings/hair/make up and adding a special touch, totally refreshing
She reminds me of Bette Davis too... and also of Drew Barrymore :crush:

Mr Dale I don't even dare to imagine what you were thinking about :lol:B)

^I see the Drew Barrymore comparison actually! And I agree, in her W spread she looked great. But those Miu Miu pics and also her first polas and tests, they showed her 'natural beauty' and they just do not convince me. She's too weird for me to think of her as a beautiful model. I don't even appreciate her quirkyness or weirdness. On the runway I don't buy it and in print seldomly thusfar. Maybe time will make her a star in my eyes as well, but for now, I just do not see it :(

I'll let you know maud ;)

Oh, actually I found them a little bit disturbing, but in a good way. Like a fat baby face and then this womanish body but in girly clothes.

Somehow this makes me a little sad because it shows that she's not so versatile, but it's not her fault either.

But again, I'm happy she was chosen for Miu Miu PF. It represents that Miuccia still wants her and hopefully it will begin a new era at Miu Miu, a new era with a celebrity-free image.

When I first saw her back in... June? my thoughts were like "ugh, she's ugly!". But then I saw her smile.
The dimples just caught me.

LINDSEY WIXSON AT MARILYN IS A SPECIAL THING

Beauty is a convention and convention is really boring to stare at all the time. Last season I was deeply frustrated because of an inability to book Miss Wixson in New York, a market that is doomed to be behind the curve primarily because it is clogged with a lot of people who pay lip service to the idea of creativity without truly investigating the value of creativity. What I thought was great about Lindsey Wixson was she brought an energy to a room and therefore to a catwalk that challenged the convention of beauty in an interesting way. That is to say, used in the right way, she could change your eye in a picture. That opportunity was exciting. This morning I finally got to work with Miss Wixson for a Spur sitting. As I stood across Lindsey and made eye contact with her I was really unnerved as to how ...resolved... this girl was at 15. She decided she would try to be a model at 12. She faced a lot of rejection but kept going and kept trying. In the meanwhile she went to art school deeply inspired by her older sister who was an artist as well. She told me that what she loved most about her Prada/Miu Miu experience was seeing the passion and creativity exhibited at the house concerning every single detail of what they do. Lindsey Wixson spoke with warmth and excitement and genuine fascination about the business she was in. She loved her new Phi boots and couldn't stop catwalking in them. The rumor is Miu-Miu is set to release as many as 8 images in an ad run where Lindsey's name is already prominently credited on the ad. In retrospect I realize now that in many ways this girl was meant for Prada/Miu Miu and no-one else. Only that house with its rigor and precision and tradition of questioning convention (even as it reiterated the highest of haute bourgeoise values) was supposed to conscript a Lindsey Wixson. Not everyone has the courage to lay bare the myth of what the "right girl" is or isn't. If she never works another day in her life for another client I think it is brilliant that a model who brought more than banal beauty to the sitting was showcased for a premium brand. At the end of the day it all vagary of taste but the one thing I do believe is an interesting human being with a driving intelligence and a powerful life force has as much value as that next porcelain doll who meets your expected convention of "beautiful".

^Looking heavenly on this last set of pictures. I love how she, despite her young age, seems to be very aware of her own beauty, in a positive, non-superficial way. She knows which poses work for her and which angles favour her the most. I could see her doing this for the next 10, 15 years without losing steam. She'll probably get even better with age.
