It has come to our attention that Liu Wen had declined to renew her Estée Lauder contract and decided to part ways with the beauty giant, where she was a valuable and determined representative (and personality!), after seven years.

Her contribution and status as Estée's first Asian spokeswoman will be irreplaceable and a feat achieved by few individuals. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have Liu Wen be included in a new, inspiring and meaningful legacy connecting women of the world, and continues to empower beauty as you are.

I think its really brave for a model to initiate the breakup with a BEAUTY GIANT, and it seems the GIANT is very mad at her decision, I mean Hilary Rhoda has never really left Estee Lauder although during the Constance era she was invisible, but the brand takes it for granted, that models should bind themselves to the lucrative contract for ever even if their faces would never front the brand, and the brand could dump anyone anytime but its not tolerable the other way around, so I think Liu Wen really pissed off the giant this time, anyway kudos to her and her team, wish her best luck!

Liu seems to have her iron in so many fires that this is not remotely a step back for her. Like Ollie said, she was not especially visible through Estee Lauder so it's really more of a hindrance to stay with them, career-wise... she gets the cash but not the exposure. She can do better, basically

It was revealed that Liu Wen opted for Chanel instead and not EL's offer. And yes, she secured a beauty contract with Chanel. More details weren't given though.

Did we missed something. You made it sounded like Liu Wen ended on a bad term with EL. Did she? How are they pissed? Just curious. They were pretty cozy just a couple months ago... would've been awkward if that were the case. Otherwise this whole decision thing was recent as weeks ago. Then again, you probably know something more than we do. And I concur about Liu Wen being the one who unplugged the agreement - hopefully things will be alright.

Thanks for the info. I did not get a good view of the girl because she was in the backseat of the girl... I assume Liu Wen since she has been associated with EL for a while...
