^ Let's see what this Chanel agreement entail. And we still don't know the full details (how long of a contract, was it for beauty/fragrance?, the estimated figure she signed on for, exclusive only girl, etc.).
I still think this move was in part of a new phase for Liu Wen. In the sense she's gonna be 30 soon and she's been in the industry for a decade now, and I just feel like she needs a new "image" for the next chapter of her career. That's what I was thinking. (And this is why I feel she should also just stop with VS too. But I digress; for another time). And I presume Chanel approached her for whatever reason/motive they may have. And perhaps she and her team felt it was a good catch? Also, she gets a chance to be associated with a big brand like Chanel. Why not?
And I think this 'Asia/China only deal thing' would just embolden her title and narrative as the "First New Asian/Chinese Supermodel" of the 21st century and whatnot. Something like that maybe.
Anyway, it's not like any other brand was gonna offer something like this to Liu Wen, no? Well it's true that Wen parted ways, so, she must've felt something and chose to leave...
IDK. Just brainstormin and theorising.
