Loewe F/W 2017.18 : Gisele Bündchen by Steven Meisel

Wow! The second one is amazing. The first one looks a bit odd though, looks like her head isn't attached to her body.

The second one looks beautiful...

BUT it doesn't look like Gisele

Woah, I got chills. The first one could be Lily Aldridge for all we know but the second one is an incredible shot of Gisele.

We have been seeing her as 'Gisele' in everything for so long that whenever someone does a themed shoot nowadays with her I am first amazed and then reminded that she was once a versatile model.

Steven only shoots his faves for LOEWE (Julia, Raquel, Liya, Amber... who's next?)

Same here, love the second shot. A bit heavily retouched, and recycling the set feels a bit lazy, but she looks stunning here!

The second shot is giving me everything. A reminder of how amazing she can be.

I hate these pics. They scream cheapness. I hate the retouching here... And eventhough I adore Gisele, she is just not doing anything here. I just see her poorly disguised. Not a fan of the hair either.

A big no for me.

BTW, is that a Jesús Soto artwork??

I get why Gisele is here but i don't like her as a Loewe woman.
I'm sure karen Elson and others will be the faces of Loewe. But the clothes looks good already.

I didn't think of Raquel or Julia Nobis as Loewe women either, but we got them regardless. I think Loewe campaigns are not necessarily selling an aesthetic, the way RL or CH does, it always looks like editorial imagery to me.

and maybe he should stop because they weren't so great... apart from Liya's campaign...

When I saw this I thought it was Lily Aldridge and it can't be a good thing when in fact the model is Gisele;-)

But Raquel is an "every brand" woman...

Even if Gisele is an amazing model, she has her brand IMO that is kinda less aspirational than everything that Loewe stands for. Loewe is very aspirational...
But i get your point about the editorial imagery. That's maybe why they don't stick to 1 girl for more than 1 season.

Great campaign, I especially like the posing!
