Loewe F/W 2023.24 Paris

All I can see are some Margiela trompe l'oeil pieces, oversize coats, basic leather; and some dresses made of satin randomly draped over the models.

Yes, the fabrics and materials used are beautiful...but that´s all.

PS. And hideous shoes.

Adrian Appiolaza is a HUGE Margiela collector, it’s no secret !
I love this Loewe collection because it’s less costume-ish than the last few seasons where Jonathan was obsessed with creating those bulky hard look like the car dress, the pixel top.

This collection is more poetic and parts of it could be The Row ! Delicate ultra minimalism at its best.

Looks 3, 7 and 11 feel rather 'inspired by' Prada S/S 2023, it can't be just me, right?

Nothing grabbed me initially but I'm starting to really like the pink and green polly pocket look

I found this to be a bit boring.

It's not bad. It's not great. It's fine.

Trompe l'oeil always seems like a place designers go when they run out of ideas.
