I find his work for Loewe infinitely better than the work at his own label. He's able to make clothes here that, while still quirky, have at least SOME appeal to a living, breathing human being. His own label gets bogged down with gimmicks, and ultimately ends up looking cheap. So - seeing his more "wearable" side coupled with Loewe's obvious budget and resources, the end result is actually quite attractive.
His weird ideas really benefit from luxurious materials, too. Some of these outfits look so much better when carried with a green crocodile bag, for example. That luxe element really boots everything. Kudos, too, to the bag team. Some fantastic offerings here.
Nice work, overall. I'd prefer if he'd just drop his own line and work for Loewe full time.
