No, but for real, I liked the collection. There was a good balance between fashion and commerciality. The color palette was visually appealing, and the soundtrack was catchy. There are some standout pieces that I can see becoming popular. Additionally, the accessories were quite cool.

However, I often find myself struggling to figure out their true identity as designers. I’m interested to go on this ride with them.

The standing ovation wasn’t necessary. I saw Anna clapping mid-show at black, pink, and yellow dress.

Painfully stiff and charmless collection.

As the collection progressed with the colours, I immediately thought “what would Esteban Cortazar do at Loewe?”. Their attempt at Irish wit that JW had at times with Loewe with the parkas and hats was tactless. Again just reiterates the Proenza boys lacking any kind of identity. Bland.

I dont hate. That’s what to expect from them. They could not take the risk to exist on their own as CD after JWA’s tenure and success at Loewe.

This is also probably why it is them and not someone else. The set was soo Celine by PP as much as some looks and to have past looks from last year by JWA at the very same house is… lazy to stay polite.

Americans are the biggest hype men so not shocked neither for the standing ovation and the thing is when someone does it you kind of feel forced to do it as well. :/

It wasn't that bad and I guess the standing ovation was more of a « welcome » into the new position, not necessarily because it was great. I am not mad at it and it might actually even sell. I expected worse.

The never produced anything remarkable in the last 10 years except copy Phoebe. So why would they be any different now? Somehow, they managed to still under deliver.

JW was/is doing JWA+LOEWE / JWA+Dior and costume for films, These two ditched their own brand the very minute they got the call, so they could doing whatever they were doing under a more glamorous label. That’s how much integrity and creativity they have. And there are two of them.

Half is nice. Half forgettable.
Brand isn’t completely destroyed yet, that’s already that - yes, my bar with them is that low.
I expect a large overlap with Rider’s Céline now.

It's not bad but it's extremely innoffensive. Again with these two you always have the feeling they're leeching someone else's spirit. It lacks direction and statements. Loewe won't be able to maintain its momentum past 1/2 years with collections like these - assuming their marketing is in the spirit of this.

This is as good as they'll get. I think they do best when they're imitating someone else. And I promise I'm not being shady here. They work well when they have a template to follow.

This isn't bad at all, but it's just characterless. This could be an autopilot collection from JWA, Ghesquire, Prada, The Row, or at least 4 other designers.

If they regurgitate this collection for the next 20 years I'll be happy. Because with these two twinks, it can ALWAYS get worse.

Nice colours, poverty of textures and shapes, repetiveness of the pieces, general blandness of the proposition.
The weakest debut so far.

People love hating on them because they're American, fine. People love hating on them because they "copy" Phoebe — as if 90% of the brands aren't very clearly inspired by her work, and as if PP herself is pretty obvious in her historic references and at times extreme plagiarism.

Also, if that is the case: they're doing Phoebe better than she's currently doing herself!

I think we need to STOP saying this and that looks like Phoebe when fashion follows trends, obviously. You cannot really fault designers for following what ultimately has become one of the biggest market trends the 21st century has seen.

This is a fabulous collection. It's interesting, it's colorful, it's playful and most importantly, looks like a Loewe collection. I'd wear this over anything shown at Dior this week.

A clever idea at the show: By just changing the color of your socks (an insert) you can have a different colored shoe for your total look.

Because apparently, and like it or not, it still sells. Or else everyone wouldn't be doing it. Also PP didn't invent it, she just re-popularized it and styled it really, really well.

So why can't they style it their own way? Daniel Lee worked with Phoebe and comes from the same "school of design". He managed to develop his own point of view, both at Bottega and Burberry.
