^That's definitely not the case at LCF. The technicians are there to advise but don't do the work for you.
The womenswear course involves a lot of pattern cutting and sewing but also a lot of illustration and design.

I am from Austria.Do you know if I would need the GSCE to attend LCF?Or do I just need my matura?

Im really interested in getting a place in the image styling and photography course at LCF. Has anyone done this course or are doing it atm? Am trying so hard on my personal statement atm, swear im on my millionth draft!

I've applied for the same course. One of my friends is studying it this year and he loves the course. he mentioned the first year is mainly styling based though.
And don't worry it took me weeks to do my personal statement. All im worrying about now is my portfolio lol.

this is so weird. im studying italian too, and im planning to start the fashion managment course in the fall of 2010.

yes, that's quite a coincidence!

My god, i'm applying at this very moment but I find this UCAS system very complicated!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I am an International student from Norway, in the process of applying to the Fashion Management course. The application date is fortunately later for us internationals, but I am still a bit confused!

In Norway we do not have to write personal statements when we apply for unis, so I'm a little out of my element. Do anyone have any good advice on how to impress with a statement? Anyone who might study this now? Thank you!

there are many websites dedicated to this matter. google personal statement and you'll find plenty of tips.
are you applying for the BA in fashion managment?

i'm applying fashion management now. i have an admission interview at the day after tomorrow!

How exciting! Yes, I'm applying for BA in Fashion Management. Don't actually know if I am qualified! Well, just have to write that statement and then we'll see!

Does anybody knows when is the deadline to send the application to start on sept. 2010?

I'm attending the foundation course in art and design for Sept 2010 and I was wondering if anyone has any info about the Mare St. campus. How easy is it to get to central London from that campus and what is the general location like? Also, during foundation do you ever use the other campus locations, or do you mostly work at Mare St? Thanks!
