Marc Jacobs keeps a retro mood for Louis Vuitton’s pre-fall collection, inspired by a book about wartime fashions ...

I found this comment to be intriguing, and immediately envisioned Marc Jacobs pouring over a big picture book and tracing the images. Someone already mentioned that the World Wars weren't long enough ago to necessitate a collection on them, as vintage pieces are still circulating and relatively accessible. For now I think the only safe haven for world war-inspired fashion is in a movie set in wartime London.
