I could possibly obtain one of these right now,but after reading your massive thread on the Paddington (and getting more and more excited like everyone else) I think I'll hold out for the Paddington bag in the autumn...what does everyone think? The Silverado looked great on Kirsten Dunst, but viewed on its own I personally prefer the cleaner lines of the Paddington.

As an aside,my new chocolate brown Mulberry Roxanne has just arrived and I'm in LURVE:heart:    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so worried that it would be heavy and enormous and hatred at first site,as once with the plum Luella Gisele bag I ordered, but it's cool, edgy, gorgeous chocolate leather and an instant classic IMHO!!

I know one friend who luckily has both~
She said paddington is more easy going
in terms of care and getting the right look
plus softer!

I have a silverado and a paddington, definately prefer the paddington. I find it easier to carry even with the padlock and the straps go over your shoulder easier. The nature of the leather makes it more ideal for an everyday bag.

Go for the paddington I love the bag but if you can affort then get both:D

If it has to be one, then get the Paddington. More hardy, easier to sling on your shoulders and goes with everything in your closet.

good choice. the more i carry my paddington the more i love it.

Quick question for those of you who have seen &/or own the Silverado all leather in the new 2005 Tan (Naturel which is what Chloe calls it on the tag, but it's not the same as the Natural Python) & the Paddington in Tan.

How similar are the two colors in real life? I've seen the Silverado all leather in Tan/Naturel & it looks more like milk chocolate (not very nice in my opinion - like a "poopy brown" shade. My apologies to those who have & love it, just not for me). The Tan Paddington in pics looks to be more of a tan/caramel, but pictures can be so deceiving depending on light, flash, etc.

Also, is it just me or is the leather different on the new Silverado's? Maybe it's just the one I saw, but it's a lot smoother & shinier. Kind of like pleather, whereas the last seasons were a bit thicker & more weathered (not sure if that's the right word).

Thanks for any help!

the leather on the new Silverados is totally different and I'm surprised no one has commented on it. it's not pleather though (but it does make the bag seem fake, IMO). I think it's lambskin (at least that's what it feels like). softer, thinner and shinier than the original leather, which was more like saddle leather.as for the colors, again quite different. I like the natural color of the new Silverado -- you're right, it's a cross between tan and light milk chocolate. I don't think it looks "poopy" (but at the risk of being gross, I guess any brown could look poopy). the tan Pad is more orange -- I would call it saddle or cognac. I think they're both nice -- it's just a personal preference.
