A bit strange that JJ wouldn't be on the TV Guide cover, no?...

i cannot wait for this show to come back..

Really loving the Euro flare Megan has brought to the show...it actually makes perfect sense to cast a girl so steeped in French culture since France was producing all the cool/trendy music and cinema of the time.

^ It's true! She's really a stunning little girl. I was thinking that while watching the new episode last night.

Speaking of new episode, what did everybody think?

I loved it and of course the 'zou bisou bisou' scene stole the show!!

It was a slow start imo but maybe that´s because it´s been so long since last season that I´m not used to the pace of the show just yet...

Same. I often expect too much from premieres hence there's always a bit of disapointment.

The overall feeling for me is that all the men portayed in these 2 hours are indeed going "mad". They all feel lost.

There were a few surprises, mostly about the Don - Megan relation. I didn't expect him to be that transparent with her considering his past struggles with his identity.

i loved the black dress with the illusion sleeves that megan wore in the birthday party scenes.
can anyone recommend anything similar?

Liked the premiere, they planted a lot of plot seeds here and there. Let´s see how they grow..

^ Indeed. To me it was slow, but I guess they had to set everything up for Season 5.

Betty is yet to be seen...this season started in quite a dark tone. Not that Mad Men is a joyful show, but every character seemed involved in some downwards route. Peggy seems rattled and I don´t know...unsatisfied. Looooooved the long episode, I wish all the episodes were at least an hour long.

^it was a double episode
next will be episode three, in case you download them...

Simply a masterpiece of a double episode, this (for me) was worth waiting for to come back to TV!!

And so many amazing one liners, don't remember chuckling watching this show so often before. Megan in my eyes is no better than Betty, deep down she is as confused and panicked when it comes to Don, and his affections. But then its the kind of woman he is always after.

Sally is not happy with Megan either, interesting to see where that goes. it just feels like Megan is set for failure.

Joan was wonderful, loved watching her, but omg did her mother drive me CRAZY, i would have slapped her so hard! Patronizing, and mean, sadly i know many mothers like this in real life. Joan didnt express that many warm mother feelings herself either though. The BEST part for me was when she came to the office, and Roger saw her, and yelled, "There is my baby", so well done haha.

Not to go into every character, but Peggy seemed right at place and like one of the guys, which i loved.

Glad this show is back, best line of the night remains: "dissatisfaction is a symptom of ambition." --> So true!

It's the lady who played Martha Huber in Desperate Housewives. She was also quite intolerable. :innocent:

Also, did anyone notice that Susan's son in Desperate Housewives is now playing Don's son in Mad Men?
