Material Girl's #CheersTo5Years

Today, Madonna and Lola's Material Girl announced that Sofia Richie would be the face of the 2015 Fall campaign, which celebrates the fashion brand's fifth anniversary, having launched exclusively at Macy's in 2010!

Madonna said about the new campaign, "Sofia Richie perfectly embodies the style and spirit of Material Girl and is the ideal new face for the line." Lola added, "Coming from an artistic family, self-expression is in our blood. I love Sofia's style and energy, and look forward to collaborating with her."

"I was so excited that I was chosen to be the new face of Material Girl because I've been a fan of Madonna's since I was five years old! Madonna is God," commented Richie. "There are so many people that Madonna and Lola could have picked to be the new face, and it's really cool to be a part of."

The multi-media marketing campaign will debut in September issues of fashion and lifestyle magazines, as well as online, outdoor and in-store. #CheersTo5Years

Rolling Stone Madonna special issue preview.

Madonna thinks artists deep into their careers should stop if they don’t have anything more to say. But at 56, the singer says she still has things to talk about, and in short, she feels like Pablo Picasso.

“I like to compare myself to other kinds of artists like Picasso. He kept painting and painting until the day he died. Why? Because I guess he felt inspired to do so,” she said. “Life inspired him, so he had to keep expressing himself, and that’s how I feel.”

Madonna released her self-titled debut album in 1983, and her latest album, “Rebel Heart,” earlier this year. She said the key to sticking around is her continual desire to inspire others.

“I don’t think there’s a time, a date, an expiration date for being creative,” she said. “I think you go until you don’t have any more to say.”

The pop icon will launch her Rebel Heart Tour on Sept. 9 in Montreal. The tour includes more than 60 shows across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.

“The theme I really truly explore in this show more than anything is love and romance,” she said in a phone interview from her home in New York City last week. “I want people to walk out like they’re feeling inspired and like they’ve seen something they’ve never seen before (and) felt something they’ve never felt before.”

Comedian Amy Schumer, whose new movie “Trainwreck” opened impressively at No. 2 with $30.2 million last weekend, will open for three Madonna shows in New York.

“She’s a role model for women, and I am too, and I think it’s a good match,” said Madonna, who added that the idea to bring Schumer on board came from the singer’s management team. “I love her and … I just thought, ‘That’s interesting.’ (I’ll) try something new and different rather than the usual run-of-the-mill — have a band, have a DJ. It’s definitely a new thing. I hope it works — fingers crossed.”

Madonna says picking the set list for her upcoming tour has been hard, mainly because she wants to sing her newest songs but also satisfy her longtime, die-hard fans.

“I realize I have 32 years of other songs, so I have to pick and choose. I sit there for weeks and weeks and weeks trying to figure out which of my old catalogue I want to do,” she said. “It’s a puzzle that we have to put together ’cause thematically the songs — the old and the new — they have to go together; sonically they have to go together.”

She’s even picky about the costumes onstage.

“What people wear, from their footwear to the buttons on their jacket, is all very important to me,” she said.

She tagged Gucci, so Alessandro Michele designed that dress for her new tour?!

ummm... no thanks.

^^^ I like it LOL (Thought that guy behind her was Stefano Pilati.)

Anyone is better than that awful Jeremy. Would be wonderful to have Gaultier again-- Confessions' costumes were stunning and a natural progression from Blond Ambition's; and not a single conical bra in sight, thank goodness. After Confessions, her tours have been kind of forgettable to me-- visually and costume-wise: too much of the same old same old. She's still in a league of her own compared to the others. For me, these are her best tours:

Blond Ambition
Confessions
Virgin
Drowned World

Don't care for the rest; Who's That Girl was the ugliest-looking tour. Everything from the costumes to her granny-hair, to the choreography was vile. I hope the new one is up to the standards of Blond Ambition and Confessions, but without repeating the same style and themes. The previews looks like the same themes of religion and sex, and flamenco.... again....

BTW, the b-roll edits for the videos Vogue and Rain are up on Youtube. My god, her face was truly mesmerizing in those days. I mean, she really defined "gives good face." Hypnotizing.

UGH....she was so beyond breathtaking in "Rain." SERIOUS face. And I loved that short black pixie on her too...

Rebel Heart tour previews look good...nothing surprising, I suppose, but can't wait to see her in September, either way.

And I agree, Phuel...Confessions is probably her best tour. The most cohesive and the strongest, tightest message. So gorgeous. So innovative. Plus, she looked so hot for that tour.

^^^ Yes, she was just oozing feline sexiness during her strut down the catwalk to the boombox on Confession's "Hung Up"'. Face, hair and body was so breathtaking. She was so effortlessly youthful during that tour.

Forgot "The Girlie Show".... I guess it was... forgettable after all LOL Loved this stylish Meisel/Baron Erotica/SEX era with her shaved brows, gold-capped tooth and shorthair, but Girlie Show could have been so much better visually. And the Dolce costumes were awful: Patchwork crushed velvet. Yeesh! I would loved loved loved to have her had worked with Tom Ford for the new tour.

YES! That's my favorite Madonna moment...that "Hung Up" catwalk strut and then humping the boombox at the end of the runway...just so unbelievably sexy and powerful and gorgeous and the energy of that climax moment of the tour...truly unforgettable.

You know, no matter how "cool mom"-embarrassing and clueless she's become now at times to me, looking at her archive just makes me forgive her for all her current foolishness and desperate trendchasing.

The Comme wardrobe, that Vivienne gown, Ryiuchi Sakamoto, Mark Romanek, that male model, and just Madonna looking like some ethereal version of Circe standing on a hi-tech mountaintop in "Rain"...

Omg if she has Alessandro Michele design costumes for her tour I'm gonna barf. Ditto for Jeremy Scott but that seems inevitable at this point.

I don't mind to see Jeremy's design in the new tour, messy song with messy costumes, it's for b*tch I'm Madonna part with no doubt.

But her last MET Ball dress is just unforgivable.
