I thought her acting was fine, if not good in Naked weapon, and i think she'll be great in MI3 - you gotta believe they cast her for a reason.
You don't have to necessarily be a good actress to be casted. I can name quite a few poor actresses who seem to be getting leading/large roles. And besides, none of her movies i have seen so far requires much acting abilities.
But yes, everyone's entitled to their own opinion in terms of beauty. It's a debateable issue after all; i just happen to think she's so incredibly overrated. For example, i have some Vietnamese friends who like her simply because she happens to be half Vietnamese (this is NOT a critising of Vietnamese people btw, just an experience of mine from SOME Vietnamese friends). I think it's great that she can represent Asians/Vietnamese (somewhat, from her half) but liking her for that reason only is pretty silly. They discovered she was Vietnamese one day and blindly insisted she was greater than every other actres/model from then on =/
Those friends don't even watch her movies nor anything.

plus her features appear to be fighting a losing battle with gravity.
Come to think of it she reminds me of a MUCH less pretty Rose Byrne.
