hmm I just read some of the other threads on asian models, and the opinion that stuck with me most was people complaining that asian models are only good at the doe-eyed look. I actually agree with this - but do you think that it would seem like less of a negative if the market wasn't so saturated with it? I mean look at Gemma Ward - she's kinda the Western doe-eyed equivalent, and she's doing very well in a market that isn't full of innocent wide-eyeds

(ps overall, I still reckon that Gemma still has something more than say Maggie Q - she just manages to take better photos, physically speaking, and project an image for a product better)

Great thread! I think this model is very pretty, she could easily do high fashion. Very unique looking too. There is something very pure and innocent about her look.

I don't think she looks unique at all, alot of eurasians look like her... Many people think that eurasians are "unique" but have u realise ALOT of eurasians look alike?

I used to NOT get it as well when i only see her on pictures a few years ago, until i saw her on TV!!!
Gosh i have to come in and say it, you really have to see her on TV at least once. I was totally stunned and immediately changed my opinion about her.
She's really beautiful and elegant! I like her alot!
But anyway she's more into acting nowadays.

I agree with Mrie about Lin Zhi Ling. Yup, she looks cheap. Please don't compare her with Maggie Q!

I've seen Maggie and lin zhi ling on tv zillions of times and no neither of them appeal to me. If i have to pick a eurasian model in hk I'd pick rosemary...

I find Maggie Q and lisa S similar looking btw

actually, when i see her un-airbrushed photos, i dont find her attractive at all...its only in photoshoots that she can appear attractive to me

she's based in HK but is half vietnamese, half american (polish/french/irish to be exact)

Wow..i love this girl..that's sad so many of you think she's so regular because i think she's BEAUTIFUL. Also in Asia, the standard of beauty is ALOT different than in the US, Asian people prefer cute over sexy, that's why alot of Japanese models all have that cutesy sweet look in every picture and the way they pose too, they try to act very childlike. I think Maggie Q is one of the few models who don't try to play the cute card to it's death.

modelling in HK becos the last i seen of her in runway show in HK is like, 2 years ago?
She's REALLY beautiful IMO.
