Saint Laurent Resort 2025 Paris

i like it for a Zara done by AI capsule on ysl 70´s

Yes, that’s exactly what it looks like to me - How a high street retailer would translate a Saint Laurent or recent Chloe collection for the mass market.

In Chemena Chamali's hands, those bohemian ruffles have a point of view - She does it with depth and conviction. This by comparison feels lazy, there is no substance.

I love it. I wish there was more details, more exhuberance, more risks, more fashion but it still amazes me. The quality is there compared to Zara, the fabrics are of great quality so it feels good on the skin. It's very Loulou de la Falaise.

70s/80s YSL editorials had high octane impact this looks like lazy inspiration from that done in a tumblr style. Terrible casting and u need strong make up/hair to elevate the clothes. Vacarrello lacks the authenticity Hedi has I find and he shall forever be the poor man's Hedi Slimane.

At the beginning it might have looked like Anthony was a poor man's Hedi, but in the long run I think it was the correct decision.

Hedi's strong point of view comes from a very specific aesthetic, from the "narrowness" of his vision, perfected to the tiniest detail.
His years at St Laurent can be condensed in two or three words, "rock", "Coachella"...
My favorite collection was the last one, the Couture at the Hôtel Senecterre, where you could see him hinting at St Laurent's ss71 "Libération" and offering something slightly different.
Hedi is perfect in what he does because he does only one thing.

Anthony is not a genius and might have no vision, but I find his update of the archives a humble attitude that I appreciate.
He has widened the scope of St Laurent and "saved" the house of total slimanization.

Yves is greater than Hedi, Stefano or Anthony, and that is what Anthony's work is aknowledging.

Anthony has a vision, a clear vision of what his woman is and what his Saint Laurent woman is. She is sexy, she is the cliché of La Parisienne and in some ways, she is very modern.
There’s this idea in his work i think, even from the first season, to have a streamlined interpretation of Saint Laurent.

What his Saint Laurent lacks is depth. It’s an over-simplification of a quotation.
It seems like there’s nothing beyond the clothes and the obvious references.

And I think his predecessors had a little bit more depth beyond doing their homework on obvious archives. Even Hedi, beyond the fact that his Saint Laurent wasn’t really Saint Laurent in the spirit, the fact that he added his interest in music added something more to his Saint Laurent.

lol - Just some clothes. And at that, they are pretty cheap looking, in regards to fabrication. It's just all so lifeless and dull. For something that is referencing such a sexually charged era, these are so deprived of any sensuality, its just sterile, commercial product.

I find the version of this from Tom Fords Yves Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2001 much more attractive. The weightier fabric, the asymmetric ruching - Stronger POV and, in a way, sexier and more "modern".

These are pretty tragic. A perfect example of the Zara-fication of luxury fashion. Why anybody would go to Saint Laurent for these is beyond me. They already look bad on what is supposed to be the images that make them look their best.

Yes I love Tom Ford but have u seen the new girls out on the Town? They don't no the difference between fabrics they see the price first and then the logos or the name. Also they want skin , they're into a Blanca style nudity.
