Stunt casting indeed. It will draw attention which is the job of an act. But aesthetically, she looks horrible. The plastic surgery over the years renders her cadaverous looking. I don't know who would aspire to wearing the clothes based on the pic...the gay crowd who adore her, I guess.

Look, I'll agree with you, it is in theory stunt casting. And her plastic surgery is a bit over the top, probably because she's had it done before we took technological leaps in that department. But I dont think it's fair to say this will only appeal to her gay fans. What about women her age? Cher's outfit in this shot is dignified and classy.

This is EVERYTHING. Say what you will about Marc Jacobs but he sure does get some very impressive celebrities to front his campaigns, and he always has. I mean c'mon, its CHER for f***s sake. That's huge!

And as far as celebrity campaigns go I admire how unexpected and exciting his choices tend to be. Like, they don't make sense because you'd simply never imagine such women wanting to do something like this but when you see the finished result it makes perfect sense. You can tell he chooses women that he has an admiration for rather than simply picking the hottest name to promote his brand. It's deeper than that.
