Marc Jacobs F/W 2015.16 by David Sims

cher came before drag queens; if anything, THEY look like HER! let's respect the heritage. cher is the original of all originals.
False. Drag queens have been around since waaaay before Cher was even born. Drag culture in the modern-day mainstream as we know it, yes, Cher did come before that, but drag as a whole has been around forever. I may not know who the hell is designing all the collections nowadays or who every last model is in the MJ show is, but gay history, yes, I do know. Trust.

But I digress.

I'm comparing Cher in this specific picture. Who is disrespecting Cher or Drag Queens??:huh:

Thanks for teaching gay history as it is Eugenius:flower:

i cant wait to see which models show up.

Yes!! I love. I live. With that said, I think I'm watching too much RPDR marathon that I see more of Chad Michaels than Cher. Weird. I love them both so who cares. I love this!

It looks nice but it doesn't look like MJ at all.

Someone please go and correct the title. That is not Cher; she's Emily, the corpse bride.

1 of the best response ever ... Excited to see more from this campaign.

This is EVERYTHING. Say what you will about Marc Jacobs but he sure does get some very impressive celebrities to front his campaigns, and he always has. I mean c'mon, its CHER for f***s sake. That's huge!

And as far as celebrity campaigns go I admire how unexpected and exciting his choices tend to be. Like, they don't make sense because you'd simply never imagine such women wanting to do something like this but when you see the finished result it makes perfect sense. You can tell he chooses women that he has an admiration for rather than simply picking the hottest name to promote his brand. It's deeper than that.
Perfect comment. It's what makes Marc such a genius and such an evergreen fashion leader. His work comes from his heart...there's simply no kowtowing. He knows how to make a statement, how to get attention - but does it in such a genuine and unexpected way. How rare and how fabulous is that?

Willow Smith is also in the campaign!

I actually like the direction of the campaign. It's like the House of Haunt. We have Cher as Morticia/Emily and now we have Willow as the creepy doll considering how doll-like her pose is

Willow Smith though.....i mean.....

CHER.........and willow smith

excited to see who else though.

What an awesome surprise seeing Cher!! Love that she's fronting this campaign.

Who's idea was it to cast Willow?? Scratching my head at that choice. Anyway her shot doesn't look bad. I like that we have the age disparity, and both women looks in great and age-appropriate in MJ so far.

 it was amazing and cute when Marc casted Elle and Dakota for the campaign, but its out of the ordinary to cast Willow who seems to fit the theme perfectly...

I loathe celebs in campaigns!

They don't hear you though. -_-

ANYWAY. She looks amazing. Willow is a young girl of many talents.
