Pretty good collection IMO, certainly compared to the terrible past two S/S collections. The amazing set definitely enhanced the 1950s by way of 1920s clothes.

It reminded me a bit of (here we go) ~Prada~ S/S 2008 in some ways. I'm sure the collection will benefit from HQ images.

I hate to say it but I have to because it's unavoidable - last season's Prada.

The 20's/60's mash up thing. Except Miuccia is a designer and Marc a zeitgeist channeling stylist, copyist, in fact - costumier. Because this is horribly literal, horribly costumey.

And I swear those few sweatshirts randomly thrown in look like a total afterthought. It's like 'everyone else is doing sports, quick throw some sweatshirts in'. Baaaaaaaarc Jacobs. You sheep.

Monsterous.

That soundtrack was just awful...sorry. Thought the sweatshirts were the closest thing to Marc's DNA as this collection got...I really do see the Prada thing, even head wear wise...

-__- we get it Marc, ur Miuccia's biggest fan, but give it a rest, is the second season in a row he's used Prada as an obvious reference...

I love the fabrics and the colors and everything! This does look like Prada and thats why I like it

With the exception of a few looks (the outfit on Daiane, the dresses on Josephine & Daria), I really found this quite awful tbh. It's not new, it's not exciting, and beyond that I wouldn't even say it's all that pretty, which could potentially otherwise make up for the lack of originality.

Definitely a Prada influence here, but I love it nevertheless.

The bunching on the skirts is sweet, as are those ultra cropped little jackets. I think there's almost a bin-liner vibe to some of the fabrics used for dresses & skirts, which makes me think of punk as a reference, though the cuts don't necessarily go there. Great fabrics throughout imo. The most unique thing, though, are the cropped pieces; they feel new to me. I like the collection.

Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2012 Full Show

I kind of like it, its light and springy, still this looks more Louis Vuitton than Marc Jacobs.

And what is with the catwalk? Poorly lighted, poorly furnished, plus just HATE the music with a passion...

Thxs Frida!
I'm gonna have nightmares with:1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8
I love this collection, it's cowboy without clichés (that's for you Thakoon) but it's more than cowboy and western it was an italian spaghetti western old movie with a sense of pop art, very interesenting.
Someone could say that has a lot of Prada, but IMO Miucca and Marc are having a feedback lately that's very interesting.
I really like this collection.

Probably my fave show of the season so far. After a disappointing collection from Proenza, I SO needed this.
Oh, that blue button up and plastic skirt combo look on Jourdan just has to be mine. :D
