oh boots! i totally know how it feels. i was doing 15 units this past semester with a full time at home illustration gig and also workign part time on the weekends in sales. i seriously thought i was just going to keel over and die...or my brain was going to stop working all of a sudden or something. you'll make it through though. im rooting for you.

and yah, i prefer the baby over the clutch, idealy...but i think i can get a really good deal, that's why i made it an option for the east west clutch. and yah, that pic is bordeux from first season...i have all the stock photo's and ads anything stam related on my computer ^_^

i think i prefer the baby stam in the black the very best, because it could then easily be used as a day bag and go into evening as an evening bag or clutch. i'll post some of my older pics of me and taupe....only because i've got a bad sore throat cold thing and i need a hair cut :P I'm trying to grow my hair out and it's at this crappy shag stage..... otherwise i'd gladly bust out my camera and snap away, darlin'

Oh Jun it looks soo gorgeous on you! :heart: You make it so cute, and i really love the lacy blouse and black dress too. Where are they from?
I'm really starting to wish i'd got a taupe or mousse instead of my putty now. It just gets so dirty from my jeans and everything else and the appeal of the colour seems to have worn off for me. Maybe i'll look out for one on ebay and when i find the real deal i'll sell mine instead. I REALLY love the stam itself, i'm just not as in love with the colour as i used to be. Hmm. I might post pictures and see what people think. If anyone else has a putty i'd love to see how they wear it- maybe i'll get new inspiration! :)

And really, a HUGE congrats on the graduation!! This is my 7th year of uni and i feel like i'll never get there! I wish i'd just done the one degree instead of 3...what was i thinking?!
 
Boots, I really love putty as well. My friend just bought one and it's so beautiful. Please post pics. I'd love to see you wearing it. I personally wouldn't trade it for a different color.

BTW, I'm just graduating from uni as well. One more oral exam and then it's finally over. After 5 years. Boy, I will be so relieved.
 
Jun, you looks so pretty. I like the entire outfit in the first pic and the blouse in the second and your taupe stam, of course!
 
boots: if you really feel that way, there's a taupe stam on ebay right now, starting bid $699....it's from a gal from TPF....the taupes are becoming rarer on ebay....that's too bad about the putty color...:(

that white top and the dress are both thrift scores....im a sucker for vintage and thrift shops. ^_^

velony~congrats on your schooling too! i didn't realise there was so many in uni right now.....it's such a weird feeling to finally be done with everything...
 
I'm so upset right now. I have decided to sell my Saddle Stam because I'm in desperate need of cash. So I went to a consignment store for luxury goods in my city. They said it was too much of an It bag compared to LV or Chanel. Therefore they only wanted to pay $500 (€400) which I found way too low for a hardly used bag. According to them the Stam trend was over. I can't agree at all.
 
oh, that's horrible velony. you should try ebay....i dont find the stam an "it" bag or trend bag at all. i think it's just recently gotten so much attention this past year, instead of the first year it was out, so they think they can call it a trend and be done with it. But people are still buying them up and certain colors are so hard to find. I hope you find something that works out for you. hugs!
 
thank you for your kind words, jun. i just listed it on ebay and will hopefully find a new home for it and someone who really appreciates it. i don't think it's an "it" bag either because otherwise marc jacobs wouldn't keep producing it and bringing out new colors. i know i love my bags and will keep on wearing them for years to come. otherwise i wouldn't have spent that much money on a handbag.

Oh Velony, that's terrible! :( Of course we all think it's a classic bag. There are no labels plastered all over it and it just goes with anything. I only with there weren't horrible fakes everywhere you look.
Are you keeping your baby stam still? I hope so, i loved it on you!! :flower:

Oh Velony, congratulations!! :woot: What degree are you doing? You're in London right? I can't wait to finally graduate, although i'm sure that's still a least 65 years away (it feels like it anyway!)

And i will take some photos of my putty. I never have even though i keep saying i will, i'm so lazy when it comes to photos of myself! Promise i'll do it soon though (then i can get your opinions too)
 
There is a Petrol Stam listed on Ebay... I'm not sure about the authenticity although the pictures seem pretty legit... the seller is also a tPF member for what its worth .. help? :flower::blush:

WOW! an elusive petrol!!!!!!!!!!!!! from what i can see in the pics, i'd say it's authentic. the fakers were never able to replicate the icey leather properly. I'd ask what her user id on the purse forum is, just for safe measure, and ask what the ID is of the member she purchased it from. I would say it's authentic.....if you'd like, you can run it by the 'is this bag authentic' thread as well and see what MIZ BAGS has to say. I'll run it by an authenticator friend of mine from TPF as well, just for safe measure :flower:

honestly, while the price she has is close to retail, it's still very reasonable for the bag, since it is a coveted RARE color for any stam collector, PLUS it is done in the icey leather, which many collectors really prefer to the later leather textures. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it sold for more than retail $1200 after the bidding is over...

wish you the very bets of luck though. im watching the auction to see how it pans out:flower:
