my parents used to have an LP collection of her opera's, with gorgeous photographs on the covers that i could look at for hours, when i was little(like 3/4) I used to dress up as Violetta from La Traviata, Tosca,Anna Bolena (like on the pic above) etc.
lol, i was an unusual child.

oo i found a pic of one of them on ebay! holy nostalgia



Looking back on it I think she might have influenced my style quite a bit like on a subconcious level, i'd propably not wear as much black eyeliner as i do if i hadn't been exposed to those photos of her at such a young age haha

to me she was the Audrey Hepburn of the classical music genre..

It's funny you should say that - I watched a program about Callas on a biography channel on TV, and apparently when she lost all that weight, and sort of transformed herself and her image, she did it with Audrey Hepburn in mind, like an inspiration.
And you can actually see some looks seem similar to Audrey's somehow. Audrey was just sweeter I think, whereas Maria Callas was fire!
