she played against ana ivanovic (Srb) in the final! and won (yay!) 7-5, 6-3.

she didnt lose a set all tournament... played against jelena jankovic in the semis and justine henin in the quarter finals.

i would say it was difficult for her to play sooo well as australia seemed to be going for ivanovic.. !!

Thanks for all the pics, I am so glad maria won! She certainly deserved it as she was definitely the best player throughout the tournament, and the fact that she had such a disappointing year last year, makes the win so much better!

thank you for this and i want to say that i agree with you not to stand her for being full of herself!!i think she was much more worse on this when she was younger !she still sounds me fake sometimes but she is much more natural than when she was younger;especially when she blows kisses to the crowd after she wins i can't stand that!!oh so so fake to me!!!
