It's going to be a movie about Marilyn called Marilyn Forever Blonde.

WOW

Thanks for posting this.I have to say;when i see that there will be another movie about Marilyn;Alarms start ringing:ninja: and this actress doesnt look like her at all,but then no one does.So hopefully its a very well directed and acted movie, but i am not getting my hopes up.^_^

Fahsionlova: I'm happy you are looking forward to it too.
Emil: You're welcome. I'm gonna order that book Music For Chameleons pretty soon. It's in english and I am going to write down the essay A Beautiful Child on this thread. I really hope too that the movie about her is good. And that it doesn't present her as a joke and/or a bimbo. It's based on many interviews that she gave so I really think it is going to be good. One thing that bothers me is that Sunny Thompson that plays her has a tan. I think she should be really pale. But anyway I am really looking forward to see this movie. I kind of the opposite of you in that way I love too see even more movies about Marilyn Monroe. I read that David Lynch got a offer to direct a movie about her based on the book Goddess by Anthony Summers but he didn't want to do a movie based on a true story.

^^Oh,interesting i didnt know that about Lynch turning down her biopic.
That movie is interesting, becuase its not a regular flim feature, its more like a monologue of scenes where she tallks, almost like a documentary style.
And yes its nice that they used her actaul quotes.I hate the wig she has on,its so obvious and ya her tan is annoying but she seems to have the same kind of magnetism and in the trailer when she tallks, she is quite good.I have to seee the movie to form my opinion completly, though.

I dont know,i mean i watched all of the movies that were made about her life,i just always thought they all failed to show the woman beihind "Marilyn Monroe" and were just bad.

Did you watch "Bobby&Marilyn; Her Last Affair" movie? What did you think of it?

I posted this in Marlon Brando's thread and thought I'd post it here too. Hope it's not a repeat:

60'swildchild: Thank you for the beautiful pic!
Emil: No I haven't seen Bobbie & Marilyn Her Last Affair. Do you think it was good? But I have seen Norma Jean & Marilyn with Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd and Blonde with Poppy Montgomery. In the first one I thought that there were some scenes that were really great but also a lot that were bad imo. I like Blonde more. But it has it flaws too. But the book is a billion times better imo.
I would love if you could name all movies about Marilyn Monroe that you have seen.

She is deffinitely no "natural" beautyy. I still love Monroe though..

why shes not "natural"

I can not stress everything about her is made up to the max.. also its pretty deffinite she has a nose job and chin reduction. (look at before photos , most biographies state she had surgery) Her hair.. dont get me started and umm the way she spoke.. that was trained.. basically everything was a bit fake.

Although before you start screaming I have to say although most hollywood stars are probably more "natural" marilyn has the it factor , the quality, that glamour that will never fade.. the creation of herself is magic

I totally agree with you about MM's 'it factor', although I think that concept has been flogged to death recently. But... I think she was a natural beauty. MM was an actor so it was her job to spruce herself up to achieve her goals. Makeup and costumes are merely the trappings of her trade.

What is the difference between a fake and a real persona? Don't people take on qualities that they choose? Don't we fabricate ourselves, remake ourselves and work on ourselves continuously? Don't we continue our educations to do our jobs better? Isn't that what Marilyn was doing?

After all, a woman's charm is 50% illusion.-Blanche DuBois

I agree with you about Marilyns 'it factor'. IMO, Vivien Leigh and Rita Hayworth are much more beautiful than Marilyn and maybe more troubled, but they do not possess the quality that Marilyn had that has allowed her to be remembered and celebrated world over. I think it's fascinating.:flower:

She was in an accident, hence the nose job.

She's an incredibly fascinating woman, there is FAR more than the persona you speak of. I'm not denying that it's there, in fact, she was under contract to keep that persona up. There was a lot lying there that got overlooked....she had immense depth and intelligence, and incredible charm...yes, all adding to the it factor that she possessed.

Additionally, prior to her nose job and "Marilyn makeover", she was still beautiful - in fact, many people prefer her in her Norma Jean days for her more natural and laidback look and I personally think with or without the makeup and minor work done (it was more the tip of her nose that was modified) she was one of the most beautiful women to have graced the planet... her features were always very soft and feminine, which is rarer than you'd think because some beauties of that time could end up looking somewhat harsh with their striking but sometimes strong features.

On the whole, I resent the 'not a natural beauty' theory because in addition to what I've already said, a lot of what Marilyn is known for, aka the blonde hair, she did not want. She fought so hard against the dizzy blonde persona everyone was sticking on her and was so pained by what everyone thought of her.

True blue. I agree with what you've said, I always catch my breath when I see her.....she's incredibly beautiful with that intense and melancholy soul burning through her eyes, she's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. She is indeed a natural beauty! There are clear moments she is without that persona and it is clear as day how captivating and beautiful she remains...there is just something about her that no one else has or ever will...I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but like you I also resent the theory that she is not a natural beauty....to me she's just been the most beautiful woman. And to me beauty doesn't simply come from whats on the outside, I've always loved who she was as a human being, always fascinated me, pulled at my heart. We each see our own, I guess.....

I don`t think this has been posted
