Marina and the Diamonds (Marina Diamandis)

Marina and the Diamonds is fairly new to me. She was nominated and came second in the BBC Sound of 2010 competition, and is a Welsh-born London-based singer/songwriter.

She has a great singing voice, almost Kate Bushy in places, and her music is quirky and tuneful. Her live performances on radio have been amazing I think, hopefully she'll do really well.

Not really seen enough photos to judge her style yet, it seems bright and colourful from the promo pics I've seen (she's wearing an Ashish dress in one of the pics below) but it will be interesting to see how her music and style develop.

Ah, she is so amazing !!! Did you see the acoustic version of 'Hollywood' ? Her style is quirky there, yet it works . I really like her music and got a chance to remix her last year too which was fun .
