Possibly the starriest snapper of them all, Mario Testino is the photographer guaranteed to make a shoot not only the coolest place to be but the most enjoyable too - we did wonder however what gets him in the party mood. Click here to find out.
It's perhaps easier to list the publications, fashion photographer Mario Testino hasn't worked with, but needless to say the world's leading magazines such as Vogue, V, and Vanity Fair are where his work can regularly be spotted. Celebrity subjects include, and perhaps the most famous of them all those photographs of a relaxed Diana, Princess of Wales and her sons.

Other subjects have included actresses such as Kim Basinger, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and models such as Claudia Schiffer, Gisele Bündchen, Elizabeth Hurley, and Kate Moss, as well as pop icons such as Janet Jackson and Madonna and fashion houses such as Burberry and Versace and Dolce & Gabbana.

Swide caught up with him during the recent Paris couture shows to ask him more about his life and his work.

DO YOU HAVE A PARTY TRICK?

YOUR TIPS FOR THE PERFECT PARTY

FACEBOOK OR TWITTER
Neither, I have enough to do with emails!

WHO’S WORK DO YOU ADMIRE?
Cecil Beaton, Luchino Visconti , Gerhard Richter

YOUR DREAM DINNER PARTY GUESTS- PAST AND PRESENT?
A little beauty, a little smartness, a little funny, a little old, a little young.

THE COUNTRY YOU DRAW THE MOST INSPIRATION FROM AND WHY?
England because tolerance exists.

DEFINE THE WORD ARTIST
Someone who is free to allow himself to dream and execute the dream’s vision.

WHAT WOULD YOU LOVE TO ASK GEORGE MICHAEL?
Why he wrote Freedom and what was in his head at the moment.

With special thanks to Mario Testino
