Marion Cotillard

Thanks Cosmocat!

She's adorable ... her English accent is quite good, actually. She sounds a bit British

I can't wait to see La Vie en Rose

On Stephen Holt Show

She speaks English in this one, but its mostly the wack host talking.

^
oh my. That must be every actor's nightmare. Some completely RANDOM person on cable tv with their own show. And he said her last name wrong.

I wish i could understand french :/
She says how the director didn't just want an imitation of Edith Piaf. She had never had a feeling about a film like she did for this one. She had a hard time with the voice-over and didn't want to do it but perservered at it. For her, the voice-over was the most difficult part of the movie. It was also difficult to play a woman of 40-47 years old who seemed 15 years older but also had the mindset of a little girl. Then, she talks about the make-up, how she had to force herself to sleep in it. She would go to sleep and see her new face in the mirror when she woke up. She also talks how the make-up took five hours to do one time and she had to inhale all the vapors. She got sick of the make-up artists touching her but she had to let them do everything.

Sorry, it's crappy translating but I'm just reading the Spanish subtitles :flower:

i like that look! she looks beautiful but you can tell it's mainly because of the make-up and styling! she doesn't look that great in candids

that presenter is mad! Love the interview, thanks! She is so lovely, although i think she is rather overwhelmed by him!!

really?

i from the candids i see she is remarkably fresh and chic looking- she has a glow akin to Morgane Dubled or audrey tatou.

besides i gained the impression she avoids heavy makeup particularly as so much was used on set.

Last night I was watching A Good Year for the fourth time (lousy film, but it's like real estate p*rn), and was reminded of how lovely she is! She's got some cute, really casual costumes in the movie, and her hair is always just kind of thrown up on her head. I'd love to be able to figure out how to do it.

^She looks fantastic in those pics from the Critics' Choice Awards.
