haven't heard anything or seen anything in a few years...
anyone know anything?...

...

^yeah I saw his name on the list of designers that was at Rendez-Vous showroom in Paris this season. Basically, the big showroom for smaller designers. I think he was having some financial difficulties last I heard. So one can assume he's being smart and coming back a bit quieter.

He's is doing a limited knitwear range for Topshop at the moment, for their 'designers at Topshop' collection.

It's all really basic stuff, but quite good quality imo...

That's all i know. :)

thanks for the feedback guys...
at least it's good news that he hasn't disappeared completely...
wishing him all the best...

i had a look on the topshop website hoping to check out his stuff...
but unfortunately is doesn't seem to be featured online...
too bad...
:(

End of Markus Lupfer?
Once a thriving business with a hotshot fashion reputation, Markus Lupfer has gone into liquidation, spelling the end of his much-loved label.
What followers described as soft modernism; a sophisticated collection with simple but intricate shapes, is now past tense. Owing money to everyone from his agents to his pattern-cutters, his eye for detail did not translate to the companyÆs finances.
Stocked at the most prestigious stores around the globe, there well be no collection after S/S 2003. For a taste of his designs head to TopShop, where Lupfer continues to consult.

^Yeah,I think that's what I read too.

Thankfully he's come back in a smaller way. Maybe now he'll be able to control things a bit better designing in lesser volume. I think that's why sometimes, for independent designers, being smaller can be more feesable.
