That's hard one. I like both of them but may be the black pathent muse a little bit more. I love the patent they used on the muse it's not really shinny and not look plastic-ky if you know what I mean. And I know that I would use mines for many years to come.

But you already have the muse in white one and since you have already ordered the Marni, may be give it a try and see one IRL if you like it then keep it if not get other style or get their jacket .

thanks for the comments on the muse vs. marni bag! I agree about the leather - I love the crackly patent of the muse, but I think maybe I should get a little bit more varaition in my collection like you said. I do still hope to get a black muse sometime. In retrospect I should have ordered from saks or something, I really really hope I love the bag cuase I dont shop at marni usually, I'd have nothing to do with the store credit!

Is this the one your talking about? I do like it, but I preffer the other marni bag I ordered. Although this one is nice too.

Yes, that's the one. The only thing I'm concern is it might not big enough for me. NAP will get this style in brown leather not patent with different disc chain.

I hope you like the bag too. Post some pics when you get it. I think the large you order the size is perfect. I know you love big bag and so do I.

GG, I love that marni bag. the muse you can get anytime, but if you fall in love with a marni bag they're hard to find once the season is over.

I got the marni bag today (that was fast! Wasnt expecting it so soon) and trying it on with the tissue inside and the towel I had on I didn't really fall in love with it I'll try it again when I have my outfit on and everything and see what I think then. I really hope I love it, I dont want to be stuck with such a huge store credit

The leather isn't really patent, it's like polished calf or something, I couldnt find a card that says what kind of leather it is. It's very velvety though and I do like the leather.

Klow, I think the bag you are eyeing may look better in brown leather - more "vintagey" to me. But ah well, it really boils down to what catches your fancy

i LOVE marni bags... klow, u posted great pics, i also coveted those bags.
the first bag that made me fall in love is the one i posted.
i just managed to get this bag from ebay, it's still on its way. but this is the pic i got from her :girlsigh:

personally- while i still love the shape...
i think it's rather dull in that colour combo and it's awkward in that size....
i don't know if it's really YOU either...

but it's not bad...
i think it's a really personal decision...
because it's such a STATEMENT piece...
i think YOU have to decide WHAT statement you want to make...



*plus- i think it really needs to be carried by the handles, not over the arm...

guess, i fell in love with that bag when i first saw it in teen vogue magazine... but then i think the only disadvantage is the handle. i can't wear it on my shoulder...
but i REALLY love the shape & the bigness, i think you should keep it

Thanks a lot everyone for the replies! lthough I do like the bag, I dont feel like I LOVE it, so it's going back...

Mundo, the bag is actually very light, I was surprised when I first picked up the bag. The straps are also comfertbale. I'd say it looks like patent, but a tiny bit less plasticy and shiny. One other little thing I like about the bag is that the handles are purple, I dont think you can make that out in the pic. There are two inside pockets, one large one with a zipper and one slightly smaller one thats open at the top. The lining is black canvas. Hope this helps mundo!

the creme/blk. combo in that bag is just heavenly. it's very pedestrian in grey and as softgrey said, the size is a bit weird. i imagine that it would be lovely with lots of skirts and granny dresses though. styling is really key.
