Patent bags and bags w/patent trim

They had cute patent clutches at asos.co.uk (in the style of Mischa Barton) not too long ago, you might still be able to catch some on sale... they were quite big, like you are looking for...

Yay, they're still around at twelve - fifteen pounds!... thought I'd post some pics...

yes- there were only two made...and it was featured in an ad ages ago....
it was before the baguette phenomenon...
a girl i met randomly has the other bag...
i have to say...nothing i have seen really even compares to this bag...
it's ridiculously good...and the more it gets beat up...the cooler it gets..!

i DO plan to wear those sometimes...
they are also one of my fave shoes of all time...

but my new chloe patent wedges are probably going to be my staple shoe this season...
they go with almost EVERYTHING in my wardrrobe...
the LV's are more specific...
*and not as comfortable...

i happpened to stop by barney's yesterday...
checked out those lanvin's and mj's...
the lanvins are all beautiful to look at...
but each one has it's own little set of issues when it comes to practicality of use...

i need to get in and out of my bag very quickly and very safely...
everything moves very fast in the city...
and a bag that is tricky to open and close is an issue...
maybe if i had a car and drove everywhere it wouldn't matter so much i guess...

i agree that the smaller lanvin linda is WAY too small...
it's comletely useless imo...
and they didn't even have good colours or fabrics in the larger size.....bummer...

i have a coach red patent leather book tote that i've been carrying this summer...

pic from ebay...mine is like this but a gorgeous cherry red...
very cherry and fun for summer...
i can carry it on my shoulder and it holds alot...

susie_bubble...the gallery tote comes in a larger size...14x9x5 i think...

pucci_mama...i have the hero bag in leather...
a bit impractical imo...
once you start to fill the bag, the chain handles can be painful on your shoulder...

i'm on the list for a ysl muse in chocolate patent...
it has burgundy undertones...great for fall...

i won't overpay on principle...

Funny you should mention patent I have been lusting after a red patent bag to carry into next spring ... I've really loved my distressed red patent MJ flats. Unfortunately, other priorities (and not nearly as fun priorities I might add ) have intervened and thrown my acquisition plans off track. Not permanently tho'

LOVE the Fendi patent bag Softgrey!!!! That's a great bag!!!
I also like the Marc Jacobs bags posted a few pages back- and I normally don't care for his bags.

kimair, the YSL muse in patent looks very cool. I think I like it because it's kind of an unexpected shape for a patent bag.

And softgrey, that Fendi bag is very, very cool. As you said, the more beat up it's gotten, the cooler it looks. It's sleek but with a slightly rugged twist.

I'm loving the retro feel of this Gucci clutch, though it's slighly less versactile than the rest of the bags posted.
