MARTIN MARGIELA: UNFINISHED PATTERN

At the vanguard of avant-garde designers, Martin Margiela is a master of
reworking existing clothes, fabrics and objects to create new garments and
accessories. Attributing this quest to transform as born from a wish to treat
the preciseness of the structure of a particular garment as a design challenge,
this downloadable unfinished pattern gives an opportunity to engage in this
process of mutation and innovation. The simple shift dress pattern, without
sleeves and with no hemming, is the basis to make a design of your own
conception - by augmentation and addition. As if joining the actual designers at
the key stage in the making of a garment, this is your raw material to shape
into the new.

I remember seeing a pic(one of the rarest,at that)of him in Bazaar ages ago and he had blonde hair and those typical Flemish big blue eyes. And he wasn't wearing those lab coats but an Iggy Pop t'shirt so I knew it couldn't be one of his assistants.

if you find the video or something of the collection held in the big top about ten years ago, you can see him showing himself there at the end, wearing a hunting cap.
therefore, you cannot have a good view though.

he doesnt have blonde hair... and there is an old photo that i have hovering somewhere in an old magazine.. not bazaar.. as well as a priceless piece of footage from fashion tv many many years ago that went backstage and filmed him secretly but the cameras had to stop filming when the man himself realised what was going on... dont have access to the video footage as it is in storage in australia but i shall try and get the picture

i'm pretty sure i've seen a photo of (what appears to be) him posted on here. i think it was from an old belgian design book. it may have been b&w but he had medium length (don't know how to describe it sorry) hair and it looked like it was taken backstage somewhere.

Also, I believe "14" is the men's version of the women's "4" line. Simple garments where the focus is put on the fabrics and detailing.

Does anyone know what season a few years ago Margiela showed his collection where everything was in massive blown up scale? and where I could find pics? I've tried Vogue.co.uk and style.com but no luck!
Any help would be much appreciated. x

Not sure if this is the right place... I came across this mystery Margiela item from his 22 line on yoox and I can't figure out exactly what it is... any ideas? Maybe something you wear on your forearms?
