Well she definitely played more with silhouette this season, applying her trademark prints to different separates for a change.. unfortunately a number of these silhouettes were very clearly past-season Celine and the others I just generally did not like.
Still, it's always good to see something new from a designer.
I really like the nostalgia of the stamp print (I still love to receive hand written letters, and I love to send them too), but some of the silhouettes posted thus far do look a tad boxy.
i'm a huge fan of mary but i hate this. the prints are totally not my taste and most of the outfits are truly unflattering, which is made worse by the prints. i'm disappointed, i was so looking forward to this
In addition to my previous comment, I found it very interesting how Katrantzou used the cut of garments to compliment her prints (in that order) and I thought the interesting metallic print on the tailored garments were a good direction to go in, and were indeed my favourite pieces.
^I agree. Also on a thematic level within a conceptual context this collection evolved beautifully, from stamps to money from day to night and from hard to soft. LOVES
