She really needs to try something new for a change. She isn't developing the brand enough if you ask me. I do like all the printed suits though, but that sort of goes without saying. I'm such a sucker for any head-to-toe tailored print ensemble.
check out the 'when celebrities wear runway looks' thread, no one looks good wearing MK off of the runway. Unless you had the body of a model of course.
I disagree. Dianna Agron wore a MK dress to a Nylon event and she looked divine. And although she is gorgeous and slim, she does not have the body of a model either. There have been plenty of other people to wear MK as either red carpet looks or street style and they always look fabulous imo.
^I think Keira Knightley, Scarlett Johansson, Rosamund Pike and January Jones also fared well in her designs.
I have to say, I'm surprised at how much I love this because she uses pretty much the same print every season, but there is something...refreshing about it? Like she adds something to it every season so it doesn't seem repetitive.
OMG the prints are MAJOR, AMAZING and GRAND. Some are difficult to wear, but trust there are people who would wear this head to toe I could imagine who.
Her work is always evolving to me. Every season is connected to the next, but she always shows growth and enough change to where it looks like a different collection. That's what I see her as. The reason her silhouettes are very simple is because it would look too harrowing if the silhouettes were complicated, in my opinion, especially with this collection and these prints. Not my favorite collection of hers but it is stellar and some of these pieces are my favorites of fashion month so far.
I'm disappointed by this. I actually like the prints, but I don't think they work at all with the silhouettes she's chosen. The whole collection just looks sloppy to me.
