she looks awesome
It does not work that way and if it did then it would have made more sense for Maryna to be angel-ized when Doutzen got pregnant.wondering why she has yet to chosen as an angel to replace Lily A.

IMO her management is nuts if they did not try to get her booked for the SI Swimsuit issue.

I know Paul Rowland is there, but why would she switch to Ford to "take on a more high fashion career." Also I thought it was you, but maybe it was someone else, who said that Maryna's former agency wanted her to walk more shows and she was resisting, that does not sound like something someone would do who wants a high fashion career, those Anja Rubik moments don't just fall off trees. I am not saying that she wants to abandon high fashion, and I assume that she changed agencies for a reason, but I get the whiff that Maryna likes clothes and is ambitious but I don't get the whiff that she aspires to be a couturier's and / or photographer's muse, I suspect that she wants a commercial or beauty contract.I know how it works, but she deserves to be an angel more than Lily does imo.
as for SI i don't think that's what Maryna wants though. She left DNA to take on a more high fashion career (which I am assuming FORD promised her that), balance it with her money jobs, and get more editorials a la an Anja Rubik moment. Even though she does VS
Is that inside information because not that I have first-hand knowledge, but I did not think that SI recruited models unless it is an established babe model like Brooklyn Decker or a model with a celebrity boyfriend.I don't see her posing for SI, although I am sure she has been contacted by them before.![]()
Being affiliated with Sports Illustrated definitely helped Marisa Miller perhaps not in ways that the high fashion crowd deem worthy but it has - note that I said affiliated and am not referring to being on the cover. I don't think that being part of the SI Swimsuit Issue is a guaranteed career booster but it does not hurt a model's career either. Anne V., Hilary Rhoda, Isabeli and Ana Beartiz have done it. Izabel Goulart appeared in it the most recent issue which came out in February 2011 and was part of the Givenchy Haute Couture cast this summer. The reason why I advocate it is because the models who appear in the issue do press, go to parties and events and therefore gain visibility and presumably broaden their contacts in the fashion and media industry.I really hope Ford and Maryna have more sense than to have her in SI. The swimsuit issue is truly awful these days. How much has being on the cover done for Bar Rafaeli or Marissa Miller or any of the recent cover girls. It's not like when Julie Taylor was in charge and being as SI swimsuit girl could boost a career. Most of the girls in the issue now are third-tier models.

, but I think now Maryna just isn't being casted for shows. Her castings for shows have never been consistant, and for someone with an amazing body and walk it baffles me. About the switch, all the info I heard dealt with her wanting more editorial work, but I am not sure if runway was included in that high fashion evolution.

: all via her twitter (i am assuming V Magazine)Working with amazing Sebastian Faena! Major![]()
