Max Factor

I need opinions on max factor's pan stick makeup STAT. I need them before I decide to buy it. I have this awful habit of buying stuff and then looking it up. All reviews I have read online so far are mixed. Any pan stick users here?

Is their "nude ivory" shade in Panstik equivilant to a standard "plain" ivory shade of other brands?

This news didn't exactly deserve its on thread, but it looks like Max Factor is phasing out its lines in the United States:

"Ladies, if Max Factor is a staple in your cosmetics case, you’ll want to stock up now. Procter & Gamble, which owns the 100-year-old cosmetics brand, is phasing out distribution of Max Factor in the U.S. by early next year. P&G will shift the brand entirely to markets abroad where Max Factor sales have been the strongest."

Have been seeing that coming for a long while...

The lightest shade is too dark for me, unfortunately.

Max Factor are a successful brand in the states surely? They make extremely good mascaras and always have big stars in their campaigns.

^ i thought that too.

I love their Lasting Perfection foundation. I dont wear it all the time because it can be a little too oily for me but it does give a nice matte look to the skin. The powder, im not a fan of.

however, the black Kohl eyeliner is absolutely AMAZING

I think sales in North America have been dwindling and P & G just isn't willing to support the brand anymore. They've been discontinued in Canada for a couple of years now. Too bad, because they do have a few products like their mascara & panstick that have very loyal customers.

I use their Pan Stick for years and it's perfect for under eye area but I never tried powder or foundations, becouse my dermatologist said that they are to heavy for face and that they close the pores, but I heard that a lot of them are very content with Lasting Performance Foundation and Age Renew Foundation.

Their Full and Soft mascara was AWESOME. I think it's still available in Germany, but I'm not sure. I really want it :(

I love their mascaras. Masterpiece max was superb and I will repurchase it after finishing False lash effect, which has little bit too big brush for my eyes. I like their foundations but they are little bit wrong shade. Recently i have used their pan stick again, it's ok.

Sadly Max Factor is being discontinued in the United States. I am troubled that I wll no longer be able to get the pan stick!

False Lash Effect Mascara is the actually the only Max Factor product I own.... and its amazing. Much better than CoverGirl's LB in my opinion.

I love their 2000 calorie mascara, it's the best mascara I've tried so far.

I loved all their mascaras, when I found out they were discontinuing their products in the USA I went to the closets drugstore and got myself all they have left, I'm still saddened they didn't do very well here! :ninja: It's such an incredible brand!

^^Yeah I've heard the brand isn't very popular in the US. Even before it was discontinued certain drug store chains never carried Max Factor products.
