McQ Pre-Fall 2012

^like it a lot! i think McQ is probabily the best (and the most coherent with the main line vibe) 2nd line at the moment.

The Photoshop and poor lighting is hurting my eyes so much that I cant even really look at the clothes.

Meh, Its ok.

Sarah went hard, was in belief I was looking at the mainline for a second. The two-tone cape and the first green overcoat are beast. Also I love the shoes whenever you can see them. Lots of common pieces fitted with a little twist to set it apart from the other pack on the racks.

That wolf dress caught me off guard as well. Need a girl to get that for!

I really really like this. You can play with the separates as well to create your own look. either dress it up or dress it down.

I wish there was a tartan here, and maybe some tougher elements. The full skirted prints remind me of Erdem a little, especially the darker one, and the coats seem slightly Burberry-ish. However, I like the cut of the pants. I like the cropped jackets. And I like the poet blouses.

I know this is probably not by Burton, but what is the new McQueen's obsession with the scarlet military coat? This is the third maybe fourth time I've seen it in a McQueen-related collection. Plus, why did they rob those Chanel half-gloves?
Otherwise, wearable, some vaguely interesting pieces.

Absolutely horrible color-correcting job. If the intention was to turn every image that has a dark garment into a solid silhouette making it impossible to see any details, then job well done.

As for the collection, it's definitely a solid presentation of very sharp, graphic, and wearable pieces that can easily fit into any stylish woman's wardrobe. I like that; it's refined, modern and classic, and stands confidently as its own collection-- not as an afterthought that most diffusion lines are so guilty of.

As for McQ copping Chanel's half-gloves: McQueen the man himself had already presented this style way back in his "Irere" collection of S/S 2003. Even Sarah is way above Karl.

The shearling jackets really remind me of the ones from Balenciaga fall 2004.

This is far too similar to McQueen for me. McQ is supposed to be youthful with a London edge. This looks too refined and luxurious.

Lovely as always, chic and strong seperates and love the dresses in the last part esp that red tapestry print strapless dress is gorg:heart:

I like it, it seems sleek and there is a British / Burberry tinge is some of the looks. It looks wearable but at the same time the clothes have some edge / attitude to them.

This is a great collection! Glad Sarah is taking back the position to create McQ collection.
