Actually Raquel is contracted with Shiseido, she's been their face for the last two years!

She has 8 campaigns this season! Lanvin is the only one that is not OG, and she's working with Meisel, and suposed to be on Vogue Ialia next month. Counting her editorials and quality of campaigns, she's doing way better than Isabeli.

How is Aymeline still not on the list yet? She has Kenzo, Etro, & Just Cavalli this season. I know her editorial work os slow, but she should replace Kendra Spears at #37.

I believe they should create a hall of fame for non working icons
or call them ancient or ancient models that have solidified their name
Christy, Cindy, Linda, Tatiana, Yasmeen etc.

I once thought of a classic model icon list, but surely it shouldn't be called the ancient list.
that's quite rude. Many top models today will not even be heard of when they are that age.

Really. They should just have a working icons list, and then be done with it. If Linda & Christy have to go, then tough luck, they will still be remembered by most, and they don't need a list to prove they are supermodels. Besides, if there was an "ancient icons" list then they would have to include models as far back as Lisa Fongraves. Too much history, too much complication.

Jourdan must have something about to come out....a campaign we haven't heard of yet or maybe a contract? Everyone loves Jourdan (myself included) so I wasn't gonna say anything about how she was too high at 16, but moving her up is a little ridiculous. There are girls below her that have put together better campaign lists in one season that Jourdan as put together in the span of her career.

I know that Joan's #4 placement is controversial, but I think what some people said is kinda true. For a black model to receive the type of work she has been getting is pretty impressive. The stakes for her are always going to be higher than the white models. I remember once Tyra said in an interview that being a black model is no easy feat, they really have to fight to get work and the discrimination is always there. Plus she's a Latina. Latinas rarely make it in high fashion. Her ranking may be a bit high, but it is quite deserved. At least that's what I think.
