one of the biggest question i have for this list are this!

how in the World in Maryna L. not in the SEXY LIST?

how is Jon K. not in the Icon List?

n baptise is  what is a WTF question

then u know,the regular WTF questions. Miranda,Jamie.

Maryna,Frida,Magda. i think should be rank higher.
(sure they never had a Freja,Natasha,Sasha Momentbut have been around for decent time n always getting decent work.
also maybe Lindsay should b a lil higher.

i feel maryna n magda should pair next to models like Kasia, daria. well magda kind it is  but Maryna is way too low!
n im afraid they would do the same to Frida n never giver her the spot she deserve :(

ok just did a quick look at the sexiest models list.

n adriana has been in #1 for how long?

than is Giselle,Rosie,Miranda n Brookley.

i think the next #1 is/will be Candice

i mean if she is really becoming the #1 angel n replacing Adriana at VS.is just common her sence her getting the #1.right?

it has always been the main angel the one that gets that spot. (heidi, adriana)
i think when adrian gets remove, they will also take out,Giselle,Rosie, brooklyn(?) n alessandra.

so that will only leave,Doutzen,Miranda,n candice for the run to get the # 1 spot.

i will died if Lindsay, erin, lili get #1

i think few models that will be add to that list if they play their cards right will be
Joan, karlie  yes them again
magda,constance,karmen(maybe)

I swear I'm not trying to play the race card, but I think it will be very hard for Joan to land bluechip OG campaigns. The overall demographic for big brands like Dior, Chanel & Versace are mainly middle aged white women (with a steady increase in Asian women). All I'm saying is that big brands are risking a lot by putting a black girl in their campaign to run for 6 months. There have been multiple studies that have shown that consumers subconsciously buy products that feature people of their race in campaigns & commercials. As someone of color myself, I would love for Joan to be in several OG campaigns, but in today's economy, companies would have a hard time depending on a girl of color to promote all their products. I think in Joan's case, 2 MG campaigns should equal 1 OG campaign. Its only fair, considering that Freja & Karlie are white with more oppurtunity.

im sure asian customers made up more than 50% of luxury brand customer base. japan is the biggest luxury market in the world. it used to consumed more than 50% of luxury products in the world. this stat has been changed but it still remains the biggest market for luxury goods. china luxury market is huge too just behind japan and us. and we also have korea which also has a big market for luxury goods.

anyway, i have to agree with you that it will be hard for coloured models to front only girl blue chip campaign. im sure that day will come but it is just a matter of time.

asian guys have fronted lv and giorgio armani campaigns. so i hope coloured models will be able to do so soon. well, we can at least pressure these houses to change their marketing strategies.

^ this was the whole update!

makes perfect sense to move Edita up... she only got 3 Vogue covers within the past 2 months, no big deal. ._.

They really need to stop moving Jourdan up. She should be somewhere between 40 and 30 at most. Glad to see Wixson move up! She'll be in the top 10 soon.

I don't get how Lindsey is above Daphne. She doesn't have a VP or Numero cover like Daphne does, & Daphne got LV this season. I'm not sure about Jourdan's placement, either. If Burberry drops her, then what does she have? I'm also sort of shocked Nyasha hasn't moved up a few places with all her recent works. I can't wait to see when Lais debuts on the list (assuming the Tom Ford rumors are true).

There are a few girls that need to be added to the list: Melissa Tammerjin, Juju Ivanyuk, & Julia Nobis. MDC really needs to wipe about 14 or 15 girls off the list & replace them with more current girls if you ask me.

Jordan Dunn appeared on US VOGUE SEP this year, I think that helps her current position. Well, if both YSL & Burbery drop her, she is quite dangerous...You know, she is not Vogue-ish, it's really heard to see her on Vogue's editorials...no need to mention Covers/

Stefano Pilati once said You can't find [black models] that are beautiful and with the right proportions. It made me shocked when I realized Dunn is a new face for YSL.

^Wow, did Stefano really say that? Such an ignorant comment, imo. For that reason alone I don't think she is safe with YSL.

I know I might catch some shade from Jourdan fans, but I also think Jourdan has always been a "last resort" option for Burberry. We all know Burberry mainly uses British girls, and they gave ALL the popular British girls girls campaigns before Jourdan. Agyness, Lily, Rosie, Nina & other random chicks were all getting the campaigns before their popularity ran out and/or moved on to other things. Jourdan is pretty much the only in demand British girl atm, at its kinda like they said, "Well I guess she is our only option. Lets throw some unknown girls & some socialites in the mix so Jourdan won't be the main focus".

BTW, I don't hate Jourdan, I am just stating how I don't think her spot is secure.......

^ Jourdan actually had 2 eds in US Vogue Sept., an OG with Sims and another by Meisel, in August she was in UK Vogue and Vogue Paris, she also said she will be in W..
so i think her spot is ok, probably Daphne should move up above her!

about her campaigns, she might not be safe with YSL (i personally don't care bc i think YSL sucks) but she still managed to keep it for a second season in a row and previously worked in a fragance so they seem to like her..
at Burberry she's not a "last resort option" at all, they gave her the beauty campaign too that only features her and Cara D. and they could've easily replaced her if they wanted with Nyasha or even Rosie H.W.

Jourdan also had an amazing runway season meaning that designers and casting directors like her so it's very likely that she could have at least a few campaigns for S/S 12 ^_^
.

Aline Weber moved up from 45 to 33 , Nyasha moved up 1 place and Julija Step. moved down 7 places at 45..

i don't know what's up with Ruby and Frida, they should be so much higher!
.

^^I just think if Jourdan was such a high priority at Burberry they wouldn't be casting so many other models in the campaigns. Its true that she did walk a lot of shows this season, so it might lead to something. Maybe JPG?

As far as Aline, I think her rank is justified. She has 5 campaigns this season, and she has an OG VP ed & a Numero cover in just one month. She is on fire.

I do think Frida should be higher, like 23-ish.......

I am a little annoyed at how MDC always updates the top 50 without adding/removing girls. They just move girls rankings up/down a few spots. The list would be much more exciting if when they did updates, 1 has-been would be replaced with 1 deserving girl each week, instead of their seasonal cleanse.

I don't follow this thread but.......

1.YSL beauty has nothing to do with the main label since its owned by l'oréal {they even replaced Kate Moss by Emily Blunt:doh: for their Opium fragance ad}
and 2.Burberry always had more than one models in their campaigns even when kate Moss was part of it! I'm pretty sure they like Jourdan they even gave her a beauty campaign recently^_^
now if they drop her I don't think her career will last long.
