Okay so the Icon list needs major updating. Linda, Carmen, Eva, and Claudia could all be replaced. Linda and Claudia are definitely icons but they really don't work enough any more. Doing jobs once in a while doesn't cut it for me.

It's hard to know alonso, I think it probably takes a lot of research to know who's the best paid guy among all the male models working these days... I really don't know.

Of course you can 'say what you want', but I am sorry you are constantly flogging a dead horse, and not just in this thread.
TFS would be nothing without folks with opinions, but seriously we get it, there are certain models you don't like and if you can't understand how they are STILL working and other folks like them, then that's your issue.
Karolina Kurkova has certainly done enough in the modelling game and achieved at her craft to be classed as an icon......even if you don't agree, because you clearly seem to be in the minority here. And now I'm boring myself.

It really depends on the shows you favor. DG and Dsquared, for example, still have some sexy/built dudes strutting. You need to diversify your outlook.

I don't think it is that Lara just "got lucky"
I think with the true number ones they change the "look" and make a huge change in the industry . Kate is the biggest example of this all the petite girls that followed her Mona j Emma Balfour Devon a etc etc, Gemma spawned a thousand imitations and changed what models weere scouted Sasha was promoted as she was the best of the look alikees! Same with Gisele.. The brazillian bomb wave and Lara presaged all the obsession with curve the whole crystal renn thing and all laras gap teeth imitators that work Georgia Jagger Ashley smith etc
I think the number one needs to be this strong. The best candidate is freja because she has had an influence in ghe rise of the androgynous model from Lea to andrej I think!

Couldn't agree more. Lucky? As we as the Dutch say: "geluk dwing je af" it means that you get the luck if you deserve it. Lara worked her *** off to become the model then she is now. Now she is doing the things she like and take her time, but she can. I agree with Freja, she is everywhere and she would deserves it also.
Lindsay maybe in a few years, and Arizona not sure yet.

Anyway this thread is fun but also frustrating at the same time. It's okay that you don't like someone, but you've got to be look at this with logical and realistic eyes. i'm not a fan of Freja, but if you deserve something you should get it. I like all the VS girls, and Gisele what a icon is that girl. Tyra and Heidi with their shows, KK that woman can work it all.

What are these commotions all about? I thought you're all fussing about something new like Lara moved in the Icon List and Freja is the new Number 1 or MCB move up in the top 10 Icon List(yes, I'm being biased here. )
But, seriously, KK has proven herself. Haters keep hatin' but she is an icon in her own right.

im not a kk hater but i have to say that this girl is not good at modeling. her expression almost never change. she exploded into the fashion scene as a hot sexy young model but then didnt stay their for too long due to her lack of talent.

i wonder when she will get a blue chip campaign as only girl?
