Daphne is being more selective which is the secret to her success
I do agree Daphne still can't compare on how many shows Jac has opened or walked but the covers, Vogue Paris, VI and many more
she also did CK. she is there already, she should be in Top 10 in no time

Daphne is only 15 and its very rare nowadays to get a Vogue Paris Cover
instantly and more so with support from magazine editors, designers and photographers

Jac was 15, when she did all that as well. She didn't just open Calvin Klein, she did the campaign as an only girl two seasons in a row. She also shot with Vogue Paris and Italia at 15. I agree Daphne is getting there, but I don't think her success will last. Her look is very unique and selective, it's in right now but may not be tomorrow. Also Daphne is not 15, she's been 16 for 5 months now. When Toni Garrn was 16 she did Prada, Chloe, CK Jeans, Etro, Fendi, Versace Fragrance, Jill Stuart, she had a Shisheido Cle de peau beauty contract, Emporio Armani and Hugo Boss campaigns. As well as covers for Vogue Germany, Italia, Japan, Russia and the 100th anniversary cover of Numero. So Daphne's success isn't that rare actaully,

Daphne is being more selective which is the secret to her success
Daphne is not being selective, I am not saying that there is a problem with her not being selective, but she seems to be doing as much work as her schedule will allow.

^

that's old news.
she has been number since like I don't know forever and lets keep that way and rank lima in the sexy list

doutzen flopped the most
Irina climbed to 10 ( Ronaldo ? ) and Anne V.

she's been there forever? Wow! I didn't know about models.com lol. This proves that she's really sexy indeed. Wow. Irina No. 10? Def ronaldo. What happened to Doutzen?

I love the Jac vs Daphne! Keep it coming.

Anyway, I think Jac will last longer, her beauty is more classic. Plus, I think she will be offered to walk VS in no time. I mean, with that body, it's almost impossible not to walk VS. (I'm not a VS fan.)

yeah but we have to see if daphne will last longer than two or three more seasons, lots of girls hit it big very quickly when they're young but the success doesn't last most of the time.

Exactly. Just like Tanya D. The fashion world went nuts because of her unique look, but now no one wants to touch her. I feel Daphne will have the same fate. she is exciting now because she is so young and looks older and sexy, but once she gets older her looks are going to be no big deal as she will look her age, if that makes sense.

Daphne is not being selective, I am not saying that there is a problem with her not being selective, but she seems to be doing as much work as her schedule will allow.

True. She did only selective jobs cause of school and now she is just doing as much as her schedule allow.

Daphne is nothing near Jac yet. And didn't she get the cover from Carine cause she looked a lot like Lara in her opinion? Never the less, Daphne is doing a great job, with big MG campaings and eds. But Jac did two season excl. CK OG and wasn't Jac a worldwide excl. at the runway also for CK, she opened also and closed. But I have to see if she will last a other season, and that's because she is so unique. I think Jac will stay longer with her classic look.

I know latin American people consist of several races, just as middle eastern people can consist of different races. I personally don't know much about Joan, I assumed she was black, but she and others (in her thread) identify her as a "Latina", so I assumed she wasn't black because I didn't know that people from Africa were taken to Peurto Rico as slaves a few centuries ago, which was also explained to me by people in her thread.

Probably not no, they probably care more about how much their jobs pay lol.

Having said that, Coco Rocha cared, and she was vocal about her discontent having been removed from the list. So some models probably do care.

yes, CASH is the god.
vlada just took a fragrance job, i guess that's much bigger than her position on models.com

Their is publicity attached to the list though, the list is very old now, any model that has been worth watching has been on the list in the last decade or so. Plus in the U.K. for example, if tabloids write about models they may mention their placing on the list. For example whenever there was an article on Agyness they would mention her campaigns, covers and say she's ranked in the top four models in the world - from when she was number 4. More recently I've read David Walliam's wife is a supermodel ranked number one in the world -of course this is about Lara Stone.

the whole Jac vs Daphne thing...ehhh they are both very accomplished, but like people have said Daphne has not gotten an OG campaign.

&& to say that she will be in the top 10 soon...I don't see it. Where's Toni Garrn?

By age 17 she had a VI cover, Calvin Klein, CK Jeans, Jill Stuart, Chloe, Hugo Boss, Prada, Emporio Armani, Fendi, Etro, Versace Perfume, Shiseido beauty contract, Donna Karan, Prada fragrance, Dior Eyewear, Numero covers, Vogue Russia and Germany covers.

yet...she never made the top 10 and already got removed from the list...and her classic beauty is something that has more longevity than Daphne's

As much as I like Daphne, I see her having the same fate as Tanya D. and to me she did not start any "baby alien" trend....There is no baby alien trend haha

Daphne hasn't exceeded Jac at all, Jac had an Hermes campaign at 13, she had like 13 covers of magazines in Singapore before turning 15, she opened at closed over 13 shows in her first season and followed up with two more very successful seasons. She has had editorials in both Vogue Paris and Vogue Italia (two editorials by Meisel), 2 covers of Numero. Opened Calvin Klein in her debut season. Campaigns for Valentino, Chanel Beauty, Calvin Klein Collection(two seasons in a row), Albreta Ferreti, Gap, YSL Fragrance, Marc Jacobs and more lol. Daphne is no where near yet.

Daphne has had very good campaigns though, but none of them are only girl, Versace and Louis Vuitton won't be only girl either. Even her Vogue Paris cover had Tom ford in it lol.

Jac has also gotten 1 significant cover and 1 significant (if Chanel beauty counts as significant) high fashion campaign within the 6 months. Jac has barely any high profile editorials, if US vogue 12-girl editorials count as high profile than she has a couple. She has basically faded into oblivion so far in 2011.

Daphne, on the other hand, has gotten 2 high profile covers within the last six months, 2 high profile campaigns (with more confirmed but not shown yet), an editorial in VI and numerous appearances in Vogue Paris.

While Jac should not be removed yet, she should definitely be lowered, and while Daphne might not have achieved top 10 status yet, she is definitely hotter than Jac at the moment, actually has been for a while, and should be higher.
