Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took a long jump across the pond and landed in Australia for their first royal tour as a married couple.

Other than Australia, the two of them will travel around the region to Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand and will be overseas until Oct. 31. Their visit in Australia coincides with the Invictus Games, which Prince Harry founded in 2014, and will be held Oct. 20-28. It's also a special event for the Duchess of Sussex. The two of them made their first official outing as a couple at the 2017 Games in Toronto.

The royals arrived in a Qantas Airlines plane, which is the main airline for Australia. There was a momentary false alarm as to when they actually landed because a British Airways plane arrived moments before. Australia's The Today Show shared videos of their arrival and the excitement among the news anchors was palpable.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex couldn’t hide their delight as they stepped out on the first official engagement of their tour to Australia this morning - hours after revealing their joyous baby news.

The mother and father-to be were at Admiralty House, the official Sydney residence of the Governor-General of Australia, where they are staying for the first few days of their marathon 16-day Commonwealth trip.

The couple were formally welcomed to Australia by his Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove and his wife, Lady Cosgrove, on the lawns of the historic building, which offers spectacular views across Sydney Harbour.

The couple were given presents of a kangaroo and her joey - ‘our first baby gift!’ Meghan exclaimed. And Harry coed over a tiny pair of Ugg boots. ‘These are awesome,’ he said.

Like the white and green dresses and like the idea of the plaid blazer but it looks kind of cheap or ill fitting somehow. Also don't think that severe ponytail is her best look, think she needs softer hair but appreciate trying something other than the loose bun.

I honestly have never seen a couple more in love. Don't know if it's just for the paps but god they really look like they found each other.

It's a 145$ blazer from Serena Williams' namesake line - quite a departure from the more high-end designer pieces Meghan usually wears, so that probably explains why it doesn't look (or at least photograph) as well.

On another note, I can't believe we're shaming a 37 year old woman for wanting to immediately have a child after getting married. Conceiving gets harder by the month after the age of 35, it's already an immense pressure for women. She doesn't need the shaming.

I've seen some comments elsewhere about her shoes not seeming like they fit her feet well. I can see why people might say that for the first time (in these new pics from the tour). However, in those older comments, it was generally said her shoes seemed too big. Now it looks (to me) like they're too small. It is probably just that her feet don't fit well in standard shoes and she might need them custom made. Could be pregnancy too, but I'm not sure she's far enough along for the feet to be significantly swollen.
