JEALOUS!! how come i didn't see that in the store. i only saw 2 designs. the tote looking bag and the small messenger! argh..

louis vuitton had actually reissued the soana collection in different designs this year. the one you saw was the trotteur messenger and the cabas tote. my bag was from the first soana line in 2007.

I really like this one, but I can't find it online and that's the only way I could own it. what do you think??

It's a cool document holder but not so much as bag since it doesn't have a strap or handle. Further more documents is the only thing that can fit inside it so you would need another bag to toss it inside since it's gets very tiring quickly to carry a document holder like illustrated in the images.

while i like the men's Day, i prefer the regular Day. i might get one if the right color comes out and get an extra textile strap from somewhere so i can wear it both messenger & tote style.

i'm funny like that, sometimes i want a messenger, other times i want a tote, another time i want a handheld bag.

the regular Day is a dream to carry. super soft leather, super soft and comfortable handles, can hold a good bit. (tho i'm happy with my Courier as a general schlepp-all )

I have to say, though I rather love the style of Balenciaga bags, I don't like the lambskin they use. The grain puts me off.

actually, to a lot of people that "beaten up" look is the appealing part. though, lately the leather became less and less distressed. it might take a lot of digging, but you can find Balenciaga bags with basically no distressing.

my own courier looks slightly beaten up. there are some which look like smooth leather, there are others which look like a convoy drove over them.

(i once read that the Balenciaga leather was stretched out vertically, then beaten with baseball bats to create that finish )

^^that's why I like Balenciaga bags, for the distressed leather, I want a weekender in black or navy.

black is always available, navy not really. they do all those limited edition colors, keeping track with them is a pain in the gluteus maximus. 1 se of new colors for Cruise, another for S/S, yet another for Pre-Fall and then F/W. then Holiday collections. it's exhausting.
