Tendre le bâton pour se faire battre !!!!!

no, that would be "Ridonkulous". get with the times and if you can't, just fall back.

they look like those shoes the American mass tourists like to wear when sightseeing all over European soil. screams.... "Mid West! fashion? what's wrong with my Wal Mart t-shirt, khaki shorts and athletic socks?"

Europeans? you wit me on this one?

delightful

another piece of designer-branded merchandise for the sake of the label

you'll blend right in with all the other redneck american tourists! :D

too bad noone will know how much you paid. but clearly you don't buy stuff for the prestige. presumed quality is where it's at, c'est vrai, non?

A new money catchphrase if I ever saw one.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
I won't go into my lineage

I think the reference was lost upon you...meaning not that they don't know the price but more of if they actually think they are trainers and can't tell that they are Raf Simons I wouldn't value their opinion on any matter regarding fashion.

Raf or not Raf, they're Asics and still look like run off the mill Asics. at least the JPG Martens look different and striking enough to warrant the "Jean Paul Gaultier" tag.

i have Nikes where more thought was put into the design yet cost less.

but someone's gotta help Raf pay his rent...

the 1st is amusing :P

it looks like sandals with socks

I had a pair of Paul Smith loafers but I sold them - Paul Smith is an artist when it comes to quirk - it's how his pieces sell.
Such as; I've had several shirts by him and in some, on the hem beneath all of the button holes there is a little message sewn "Good luck!" it reads. It really makes you smile . . Like the dandelions on the bottom of the shoes - nobody apart from you is going to see them, but it's nice to know it's there.

waxy, thank you, loving them too!

Crying Diamonds, those loafers is my first piece ever from Paul Smith. I pretty much bought them on a whim.. and much to my surprise I only noticed the details when wearing them for the first time! Such a pleasant one I might add...

Looks like I have to save some money to buy more PS stuff in the future, but too bad in the place where I live stuff like these come with exorbitant price tags... :(

^that's lovely, i think ...

but you'll be disappointed once you'll take them to the cobbler (? shoe repairer) ... coz the guy obviously can't reproduce that ...
well actually i don't know if you take care of yr shoes ... so perhaps you'll have this decoration for ever ...

i just don't understand why designers put some attention onto the sole, coz i take my new shoes one week after i bought to the shoe repairer for him to make a sole.

I love when a designer puts thought and attention into the details of the lining of a coat or, in this case, the sole of a shoe. Great pair you've got!
