Metallica

haha I knew that already :shifty:! I was very much fired up because I cannot buy it(I certainly dont think that my dad is gonna borrow me his CC for that :furious:)! but as always, some cool youtuber will upload it!

Using Picasa and photos from metontour.com I did a quick thing with some photos I think tell me what this current tour is about. Memories from two nights in Oslo still circle inside my head.

amazing pictures xplorer, love the Robert's photo, so cool with the hair moving and all!

oh, nice to see they have a thread here.
i think metallica was one of the very first bands i liked. my dad actually made me listen to them, got me their cds for birthday (a pretty weird present for an 8 year old girl i guess ) and last year i finally saw them at the novarock festival here in austria.

one word: AMAZING!

I got news Karen Metallica in Guatemala 2010, Im saving money already. :mowhawk:

Great to see that they have a thread!!
I went to see them in 1993, kick a$$ show! Sadly (well, sorta... hate the album), they canceled Saint Anger´s tour presentation in Argentina. But if they´re playing in Guatemala perhaps they´ll come south :)

Saw them here in Toronto (they played 2 shows 2 nights in a row) a few weeks ago - LOVED it, as I knew I would.
They are in my top 5 fave bands of all time, and always will be.
I actually do like and appreciate every single one of their albums (yes, even Load, reload, and St Anger) I was actually crossing my fingers hoping they'd play 'Fuel', but alas they didn't. :(
Anyway, I have MUCH love for all the boys:wub:
And Trujillo in my opinion is SO RAD! Love his look, stance on stage, everything. He's so bad ***.

^^not happy with Trujillo... Jason will always be a member in my heart, loved it when he sang the songs *sighs*
I remember when the black album came out it was a shock, I was one of those fans who thought they sold out (I was a dramatic teen lol) but listening to it now I can appreciate it a lot more, maybe in time it´ll happen the same with Load, Reload and St Anger :) but atm I feel like their golden era ended with Justice... though Death was a pleasant surprise...

Everyone has their Trujillo/Newstead opinions, and it's all good! :)

The Black Album is phenoooommmmnenal....

They are going to Argentina too. :woot::woot:
And here´s is my teory about the bass players in Metallica, Cliff was the founder and the one who made them great, he had huge influence on James, so that´s why the first 3 albums are so: epic, straight forward, fast, etc. Jason came in a time where, Bob Rock was the main influence and totally s....w up the band, altough Jason makes the best chorus for James, and delivers at the live shows. And last but not least Robert Trujillo, he is the kind of bass player who is not ready for the mega spotlight in which Metallica is, but his skills make up for his lack of stage presence. B)B)

^I think he is hysterical live, he does crazy stuff that make me laugh, I dont think they are bad and to correct you on one thing, when Jason started with the band, they made ...And Justice For All and Bob Rock wasnt the producer, Flemming Rasmussen was.

^Bob Rock was the beginning of the end for the Metallica I love... :(
funny how they chose Rubin for Death and it sounds like the oldies lol

^Thats rather true, I cant say it was the very end because I love the Black Album but all the records after the BA are rather experimental stuff, that isnt my favourite. Rasmussen produced my favourite album, Ride The Lightning. I would love to see the Rasmussen/Metallica combo once again. Rubin/Metallica was good, he produced Slayer, non?
