People kept coming up to me yesterday(the 25th) referring to the Michael Jackson Thriller button/pin i was wearing and said "oh are you wearing that because it's his birthday?"...awkward...then i said "oh no, it's the one year anniversary of his passing, his birthday is not till August"

There were a few local celebrations but none of them really seemed to be worthwhile. I would have been happy just watching an MJ movie with an audience of fans like back in October with This Is It. My sister texted me and said she saw someone driving with one white glove on

There is a 3 day special on MTV and I'll be watching that..don't really feel like going out and celebrate or anything..
it is a very sad anniversary, don't feel like doing much
it brings back all the shock and overwhelming grief..it's funny but I still think it's surreal that the RIP is next to his name..can't really fathom it, just like I didn't one year ago

i wish i could have seen all those cool TV specials. the one time i actually wanna watch tv and i don't have a working tv!! i never switched over to digital since i rarely watch tv . but i feel lucky that i cut tv and radio out of my life before he passed because i heard it got vicious, the media went right back to being mean all over again. i'm excited for his upcoming album, i hear its coming out in November.

i thought this was cute on an otherwise gloomy day, my sister sent me this text message(i cropped out her name), it made me smile.

i love customizing my iTunes. every song gets a different picture that matches it. granted i don't this for every song i have on my computer! only the ones that actually make it on my iPod/iPhone playlist(i'm picky as hale too) so it looks real purdy.

these are some great art manips by The Lean on Flickr, i love these types of photos for remixed versions of songs because its funkier and gives it more of a distinctive look. it's also easier for me to skip or find songs when i recognize the photo rather than having to read the name or wait for the song to start.

(i got those lyrics online. i was trying to listen closely to the song because i'm thinking: is he really singing "he say" or "he said" lol i'm not sure because i checked the album booklet and he doesn't include History's song lyrics. anyways i love that song and first lyrics always gets me pumped uppp)

i was hoping Ray Ban or another higher end designer would make some but so far they seem to just have matte colors. anyways i settled on an inexpensive pair by CCS, i got them when they were on sale. Unfortunately they aren't on the site anymore if i see nicer(sturdier) ones i'll definitely upgrade.

i couldn't tell from the photo if they were going to be shiny enough but i decided to buy them on a whim. it's definitely shiny, the lenses are more smoke but still very reflective. i didn't get to try them on before buying so i had no idea what size wayfarers they going to be or what they'd look like but they fit! hallelujah

the markings on the front of his sunglasses do look like Ray-Ban so i'm assuming yes. they should bring them back!
