I have a feeling this new video is going to spike more controversy over her image and age. I'm so sick of people judging her on how she dresses or photos she takes. I mean she is older then Britney was when she started and that was a decade ago, I would have thought people would tolerate this kinda stuff by now, its not that big of a deal imo.

I don't think people are gonna care much once she's 18. Which is in, what like a month?

Actually, she's growing on me. I love her casual style, although it's quite repetitive. She seems like she's finally doing what she wants to do. Style wise and musically as well.

My only complaint is the big whoopla her camp makes about her changing image. I mean, just do it and don't drag it out, talking about it so many months in advance. People will get over it once she steps out. They did with Britney, Christina and Rihanna.

Now drop the permanent gum and the word "edgy" and everything's cool!

i absolutely love the music video. the song is great by itself, and the video really just makes me want to be there, and for it to never end. haha. i think it's brilliant.
i did see some gaga & rihanna stuff going on, but overall i think it was quite original.

^ yeah i totally agree with you. i am not really a miley fan (sorry everybody) but i thought this idea was very original and really out there (i did not expect her to do this kind of thing.) But it worked out pretty good. I mean it does kind of remind me of britney spears but otherwise than that.. good

^^Agree, it's pretty Britney-ish, but I think the video look good! I was afraid they'd go totally overboard with her sexuality just to make a statement, but compared to what I expected, it was actually relatively "tame". A hot video nonetheless and the corset dress by The Blondes is amazing!

I don't like that much her new video clip: she has basically copied Rihanna's style .
And her voice is so electronically modified it's almost unrecognizable...
She's just doing what every disney star has done at a certain point.

The video isn't half bad. The only thing that bothers me a little after re-watching is her awful lipsynching and her looking very young (well, younger than in "Party in the USA") in some scenes...

Agree about the auto tune. This ish is sooo 2009!

I don't like the video. It comes across like she's trying too hard. I know she wants a new image, and I really think the way she's been dressing lately in real life is helpful, but I think it should have been a gradual thing.

My favorite part starts at about 2:00, "I'm not a brat like that!" I laugh and laugh at her movement

The outfits are a tad bit risque, but let's just say it wasn't anything Britney or Christina weren't wearing at their ages as well! In fact, I think Miley is a bit more covered!

I don't mind the song so much, but as for the video, like I've said, haven't we seen the whole "I'm trapped in a bird cage and people are watching me?" bit before?
