It’s beautiful, beautifully styled, maybe less fun and joyful than the previous CD but very good!
Good debut!

he actually debuted with Spring Summer 2022 when Angela left the brand. then he was replaced by the margiela guy and now he’s back as the CD lol

he just needed a better stylist/collaborator

Even back in the days when technology was not that advanced, Alaia was able to make his knit dress signature items. I think as a knitwear brand, Missoni fails to challenge our perception of knitwear in terms of craft and technique, so the result is piles of mediocre also dusty knitwear that any brand can produce. Last season was the good starting point for this brand but now it has turned back to stale knitwear that is only recognizable by its knit patterns.

I mean Alaia is mainly jersey. Missoni is real chunky knitwear.
And would people accept for a brand to put out the same pieces, same shapes every season in order to have the same kind of signature as Alaia?

My bad！I mean it should continue the direction of last season which has pushed lots of techniques and shapes.

I still remember when I began working in production, those variations of bodycon Alaia knit dresses were widely copied in the mass market. So for Missoni, it is more than knit patterns and should have pushed more craft and technique.
