yes, its very inexpensive.

here are the prices for the liberty of london for target home goods that i found on nitrolicious. i think the missoni home items will be priced similarly.

^Awesome, that is indeed very inexpensive! I own quite a lot of Missoni Home stuff already and most of it I got for free because that senile but very sweet old guy who owns a interior decor shop here always gives me something for free and probably doesn't realize it's always me and that I've never even purchased anything in his shop
But of course there's always room for more and I can't wait to get some more zig zag pillows, curtains, etc :D

target press release via racked

wow, i wonder what costs $599. the liberty of london collection had a 200$ bike.

It appears as though H&M turned down Missoni. or vice versa. i wonder why. Angela Missoni told the telegraph last year "I would like to do something with H&M because I think it is a very powerful way to reach younger girls now." (telegraph.co.uk)

it may because H&M has ripped off missoni's prints (stylespotterfashionblogger.blogspot.com) this style was apparently pulled from H&M stores.

Missoni owns their own factories. it would be nice if some of the garments were produced there.

Maybe because Missoni is not a recognized-enough or cult label, like Lagerfeld and Lanvin?

one of the best collaborations I've heard in a LONG time :heart::woot:
I'm definitely going to save for this^_^

my guess would be a couch...
or something upholstered in a horrid missoni pattern...

:D...

*i don't like missoni...
everyone knocks it off already...
so you can always get cheap missoni-looking stuff...
(which makes me like it even less)...

i feel like all anyone needs from missoni is one scarf...
and once you have that...
well...
that's enough zig zag for me...

:ermm:...
and i guess a bikini could work-like the h&m one...
but i doubt they're doing swimwear for September...
:P

^ i'm in concurrence with you softie. missoni looks fun but definitely too garish for my taste. i might do a scarf(if included)or a couple pieces from the home collection but that's about it.

^^that sounds like a pretty good guess for the big ticket item...
some piece of furniture i'm sure...

i agree that scarves tend to be more than enough zigzag/missoni print for the most part but i've acquired a few M Missoni pieces that I enjoy wearing... a couple blouses that are actually solid colors and you wouldn't guess are Missoni... a zigzag mini skirt, and a maxi dress with a crocheted top and silk non-zigzag pattern from under the boobs to the floor (bad description but it actually looks really good on me :P)

i do think a zigzag or patterned bikini could potentially be really cute
but i think missoni can easily slip into overkill territory

i'm curious to see what they've come up with for pillows/sheets/bedding etc
i need a little something to add some color/life to my bedroom and this could be an inexpensive way to do that (I have some black and gold printed pillow shams and bed skirt that I just find to be depressing at this point... i've already thrown out the comforter they came with and I'd like to get rid of the rest)

Which I highly doubt because Target only serves the north american market while H&M has stores around the world

at last count, h&m has some ~2200 stores while target has some ~1700 stores. this means that target could outbid a store like h&m. it's not a david-goliath situation. besides, h+m just sells clothes -- for the most part -- where target competes with stores like walmart.

^^great point... h&m wouldn't really be able to provide the opportunity for a huge collection of house wares...

^absolutely true, indeed. while,H&M maybe a leading retailer in clothing(let's not forget the H&M home collection is extremely limited, virtually non-existant in North American stores)target has a more mass appeal. like mike says,it competes with wal-mart so there's a bigger advantage with them. also, they have a supermarket chain within many of their stores now....i mean can you imagine perhaps a shopper who's buying groceries casually passing the racks of missoni and possibly picking up something. there's definitely more opportunity and i can see how that might be attractive to the missoni clan.

Do not follow TargetStyle on Twitter if you're as impatient about seeing the collection as me  My timeline is spammed with retweets of people gushing about the press preview today. Looks like there are rugs, bikes, kids clothes, swimwear, menswear, etc. Dying to see this.

the 599$ missoni for target item is a patio set. :flower:

OMG, did you get to go to the preview?

Patio set sounds nice, but I there's no way I'd be able to get that shipped to Europe  Too bad.

an editor from vibe magazine showed off his gifted missoni for target melamine tray. http://yfrog.com/user/AdrienField/photos

this may not be in the actual collection, this may just be a gift. :flower:
