Right....? Say what you want about the clothes, but the Dior cast used to be the cast. Today's cast pales in comparison (no pun intended........)

I was pleasantly surprised to see a couple of girls that aren't really the bland face Raf seems to like for Dior though. Like Carolina Sjöstrand, who's face is much stronger than most of the girls.
I do agree that diversity is needed.

Well, at least Mariya Markina was there, right? She's already the surprise of the couture week so far. I'm so excited about her return.

Is couture casting even interesting anymore? I feel it has been like this (bland white girls) for a good few seasons - maybe longer? Dior's showlist reads like a Russian school role. Aside from the lack of diversity there aren't even any big names for one of the big shows of the week. I guess there's always Chanel, though.

I don't even know why I bother anymore, since everything Raf Simons/Olivier Rizzo/Willy Vanderperre is guaranteed to be white and bland. Say what you
will about Galliano but his shows were always diverse and included many different races and types of girls.

I saw a bit of diversity at Chanel. Dior had diversity - there were Asians in the mix.

Julia Frauche will be there as well. She said on twitter she had a fitting in Milan this morning and said to Ros Georgiou "see you tomorrow" so I think Ros will be there too. Also in Milan : Josephine Skriver & Erjona Ala.

I see I'm not the only one who is disappointed of the recent casting criterias, tons of brunette newbies, lack of Asian faces and other classic beauties. So many of my favorite models who usually do couture are missing this HC season (Fei Fei, Sui He & Tian Yi didn't walk, Vasilisa, Maud and Anaïs did one show up to date). The September RTW fashion week was also quite disappointing for me. Good to know that we will see Jospehine- even if it's not an Elie Saab show.

Valentino was beyond disappointing casting wise. Great that Caroline Brasch closed (such a beauty).But where was the diversity? We really don't need 30 white models strutting down the runway. Very excluding.

And those shows that have an amazing diverse cast doesn't even get mentioned. Like the JPG cast. Sessilee looks incredible! but Andrej Pejic again?
