Seems like quite a few of the "it girls" from the last few seasons are struggling a bit in NY this season. Katryn Kruger has only done four shows so far and despite being a Balenciaga exclusive and the face of the campaign, Anniek Kortleve only booked one show.

Looking at mdc hot 50 Frida Aasen, Crystal Copland. Katryn Kruger, Madison Headrick, Magda L., Ros. Melissa S. stand out as not having a strong NYFW. Ros is definitely a surprise but Vanessa A. looks like her. Seem a tough season for a new face other than Nastya, Elza and Martha Hunt as blondes.

Honestly it is always a bit sad. The girls are promoted as the next big thing and then they fade so fast. I'm sad one of my favorites Chantal Stafford-Abbott is not booking the higher end shows like she used to. Redheads always have a hard time since their look is so specific.

I'm really sad Jess Gold hasn't shown up anywhere (except the parsons show which I had no idea about). I'm praying she's gonna be at Proenza tonight cause I can totally see her there but I'm not getting my hopes up. I feel like this season it's been about the androgynous girl, Maria Bradley is doing quite well which I can't complain about.

oh, i totally forgot about her, but you're right, we saw several pictures of her at castings, so she obviously really didn't book anything. maybe paris would be a better city for her, but still, i don't get it, especially because she's booked for rather good print work on a regular basis.

also, i don't really get what's going on with anna s this season. she used to skip most of the new york shows in the past seasons and she's always really picky with her appearances. now she pops up in ny all of a sudden and she walks ... helmut lang, edun, carolina herrera and reed krakoff?
