VERY different cast from what we're used to at Dior. Mostly negative for me as I liked those all star casts Galliano used to pull. Plus there were so many girls I didn't recognize that after a while they just all blurred together. Wonder if there was a conflict with Isabel Marant, another A-list show in Paris, which is about to start in 10 minutes. But if there is one good thing about the cast change - NO MORE KARLIE!!!! I feel that's as good a reason to celebrate as any.

Galliano didn't have an all star cast either, especially not in recent years.
I mean it's great that he used Michaela, Georgina, Maria K, Thana etc over and over again, but they weren't exactly stars.
I'm not saying the casting was very good, but at least it fits the new Dior. And ofcourse Maida and Rami would cast their favourites (quite some Asians, no black girls though).

I think Isabel Marant will have Anja, Aline, Anna and the likes.

They may have not been stars, but they fit his model mold and imo that is more important than casting all of the popular models.

^and the relation of the model to the brand/designer/casting director etc. If for example Daria Strokous was booked for both shows, I'd imagine she would go for Dior because of her working relationship with the Raf Simons and the casting directors.

I know casting doesn't mean you'll walk the show but Daria and her agency knew she would have been at Dior because she's probabily his favourite, so models can do both Dior and Isabel Marant because there would no reason of Daria doing the Marant casting if she couldn't do it, if she had to choose it she would have choose Dior because of her relation with Raf
