Exactly, and her likeliness to book a Dior campaign of some kind over Marant. -- Even assuming she hadn't had a campaign before, which I realize she has. Her look is more Dior than Marant.

This season has taken like 7 step backs in diversity, not a single black girl at Dior for the first time ever i think, same with Dolce.

VERY different cast from what we're used to at Dior. Mostly negative for me as I liked those all star casts Galliano used to pull. Plus there were so many girls I didn't recognize that after a while they just all blurred together. Wonder if there was a conflict with Isabel Marant, another A-list show in Paris, which is about to start in 10 minutes. But if there is one good thing about the cast change - NO MORE KARLIE!!!! I feel that's as good a reason to celebrate as any.

Isabel Marant once said in a video that her shows always run really late because most (or a lot) of her models do Dior before. So it's like Luca said: girls can do both shows but that shows on IM's show delay.

Hard for some people to understand, but it's not about the models!

I think a more practical option would be to just book other models.

But on the ... third hand, she is accomodating the models, by starting the show late and allowing them to be there for her show.

Anyway, after all this, some models from Dior are at Marant, lol.

We all know that Raf doesn't care for black models. He is reprehensible.

simons used black models for almost all of his own menswear collection (if you wanna check back: try ss03, ss04, ss05 to name but a few). and he did all the castings himself in his earlier years. calling somebody reprehensible (implication: racist) because he doesn't cast black models (which is, as stated in the other thread, not necessarily his fault but the casting directors', although i agree he could influence the casting choices if he wanted to) is, in my humble opinion, disrespectful and short sighted.

Where are the black models now? Its not like I'm pulling this assertion out of my @ss. Yes, he has used black models in the past but they are for the most part few and far between. He doesn't seem to care about diversity so I don't care about calling him out on it. His last two Dior shows have sent a clear message... "This label is for people with pale skin, no dark complexions wanted/needed."

What now? Does every show HAVE TO BOOK black models? Positive discrimination is as bad as negative discrimination.

That's such an unfair accusation, he had many black girls in his castings.
